Hmm I wonder how cheap can it get :/
$20? 😅
I remember someone posted in another thread that Netlink charged the ISP some 15 or 16 dollars per month for each connection, so 20 is probably the lowest it can go. All ISPs in SG use the Netlink optic fibre network, they don't have any other options.

Can try but from the secret link. It is a no no. Normal plan, no issue. Not the secret $10 plan

I am currently not a subscriber of SINGTEL, GOMO, or HEYA. I understand that my existing mobile number is a postpaid number that is registered under your own name. I understand that the actual port-in process will take 1-3 business days to complete after I receive my SIM card. I agree that ZYM Mobile is not responsible for any delays or penalties that may occur in SIM delivery or port-in request failure.

Thanks for pointing out the details, I think you are right.

Guess the only way is to switch to a non-Singtel line first.

It won't change. Simba just doesn't have enough spectrum for 5G. The other 3 traffic light telcos have 10x the amount of spectrum (airwaves) for 5G so their 5G is 10x the speed

Haizz, sounds like there is a cap on how much Simba can improve.

Simba is the first to introduce 100GB data for that cheap price, it certainly attracts people who really need and will use the data to the max. The 4G base station and repeater have a theoretical speed limit of 1Gbps while 5G moved it up to 10Gbps, in an actual operating environment, the speed is probably much lower. Imagine in a neighbourhood where a single 4G base station is serving perhaps a few hundred or thousands of connections, it is the same as having your 1Gbps fibre broadband opening up to hundreds of people at the same time. They may be foreign helpers who don't have access to their employers' wifi, those renting a room only and people who use their plan and hotspot to the PC etc... Other service providers are only starting to attract this group of customers, their bandwidth may start getting congested also though their 5G capacity is pretty big which may or may not cause so much problem. There is also no point in having more base station within the same locations because the frequencies itself is full. Is like having a Wifi, if the 5Ghz band at a specific channel is already slow, adding another new router and using the same channel won't improve much unless another channel is used.

Applied a new number from overseas, downloaded eSIM, and installed, all ok, but I couldn't see my phone number under General Settings -> Phone. It's blank, and doesn't allow me to even enter anything (grayed off). I am using iPhone 15. Anyone has similiar issue? Thanks

IMHO.
I think no one will put base station side by side. Base station can be put further a part e.g. half connect to one and the other half connect to another. Your wifi router example is not really valid.

IIRC, my previous testing when things first began, download was limited to 30. Sharing 30 vs 100, there is a lot of difference.
