some people say I'm in "bomb shelter". Didn't know on the street is called "bomb shelter" now! :s22:

Feel like is actually paying $10 for the roaming only..
simba is good if you travel every month to get the 1GB roaming to all countries and free roaming calls back to SG

Just to share im using Simba $10 plan. Im quite surprised with the connection for just $10.

Went to Johor connected via Celcom and its on 5G. Speed was good compare to using uMobile!

Workplace in Jurong Island and it has 5G connectivity.
IMO simba 4G/5G connection is a way better than my Starhub main line in Jurong Island.

MRT DTL connectivity was below average.
MRT TEL and NEL was average. Some dead spots underground.
MRT EWL was good.

Overall a great experience! A great backup solution for data! Currently using Nothing Phone 1 with Simba VO-LTE!
speeds in Jurong Island for simba good? fast loading times? I heard like singtel starhub performed bad there. Not sure about m1 though

For me its good. I tried Librespeed test on Simba data, im getting 14.2Mbps-29Mbps down and 4.80-14.8Mbps up with 5G at areas where starhub connectivity is non-existance.

When i tried Starhub it just uses 4G and sometimes no connection at most area where Simba do have connection with 5G.

hard to convince ppl. They still think big 3 is good. But those telco have 3g to rely on. So when user's connection is downgraded to H+ from LTE, they might not notice and think coverage is good. Wait next year no more 3g then they know.

For me usually i go 1 day trip just for booking grabs/googlemaps/google search is sufficient.
If not enough you can opted for SuperRoam that has 50GB malaysia data $20 per month. Quite an attractive offer for that amount too

you using iPhone? i always hear iphone users complain data roaming use very fast.

Turn off sync, turn off auto update apps. if you are using hotspot to other phone, make sure the other phone don't auto update apps (on wifi).

Yes same. I ported out from SIMBA to heya last month due to slowness at red line's mrt tunnels.

Esp Braddell to Novena has v slow network connectivity.

simba is slow everywhere... The people who say its ok because they tested it at areas like tuas or tekong, where nobody can rob their bandwidth.. they also have other line to switch to... simba just a second work/esim line for them..

I blame those abusers in my area using 4G routers instead of paying more for Home broadband. simba should really throttle these people. in the same area non peak hours i get 100x more speed... (2mbps at 7pm vs 200mbps at 3am)

If your doing it, please change to big 3 mvnos at least.. simba is already very slow outdoors with their limited bandwith..

simba gives the best deals overall so far.. for $10 as a second line of course is good. really can salute those who use as main line...
Depends on usage pattern, for me i mainly take bus to commute, sometimes on TEL3, and the speed is ok too. Office also got the indoor antenna of all 4 telcos, Simba 4G also can get around 100Mbps in office.
