Sugges to check w SIMBA, might be not provisioned to your account yet.
i sent an sms message "2" to 1218 and the extra data for roaming is provisioned.
Logged in to Simba portal, and the 5GB (2GB base PLUS 3 GB bonus) roaming data is provisioned.

As long as you are dialing numbers which is not +65, it will be considered IDD. So, if u are in Malaysia, u can still call SG numbers beginning with +65 and it’s free.

I got the $12 plan for my helper. Apparently the free IDD minutes not applicable to Myanmar. :s13:
yeah I know why use IDD when WhatsApp voice call is available but the junta turns on and off mobile data at their pleasure according to her. Bo pian gotta buy the IDD credit instead.

Nothing you can really do. I was in UK for 2 weeks but only got 4G when roaming on EE, in London and Scotland.

For SIMBA IDD call...

so let's say if 2 simba users are in country A and decided to call each other directly, not using whatapps..
how will the charge be like?

Use the my simba voice app to call and answer each other.

Since both on mobiles, can use whatsapp or telegram to call each other, no?

Just a simple review on SIMBA.
  1. Outdoor coverage is OK but still not as good as the big 3s.
  2. Indoor coverage is poor especially in those new buildings. Those major malls/old buildings is 1-2 bars lesser than big 3s. New buildings is between no signal to 2 bars.
  3. Underground coverage is slightly better than SingTel/GOMO during peak hours but it depends on MRT lines and stations.
  4. Average network speed is about 25% of the the big 3s.
  5. Voice call can be unstable on different models (I have both iPhone and Samsung).
  6. Roaming is pretty straightforward, restart your device once landed. It will search for the available network automatically.
  7. Customer support is slow but they will get back to you most of the time.
Conclusion: Cheap, but not suitable to use it as the main line.

None of the UK telco support 5g roaming which is clearly mentioned on the website whereas Jio does support 5g roaming

1. I have 5G outdoor coverage most of the time. Other big 3 seem to have good coverage but that's due to 3G. wait till it is off and all the load goes to 4G
2. That's on the building management to contact simba to install 4G/5G router. Simba has VoWifi. If coverage is poor, just connect wifi to receive calls.
3. You can't do **** on gomo during peak due to lowest network priority, even if there is signal bar
4. You don't speedtest all the time. It is already sufficient to watch videos. Network capacity is more important and simba has that over other telco with more subscribers. Try to play videos on a crowded place, the higher speedtest results of gomo wont help you
5. You are holding your iphone wrongly.

It is the main line for many people for many years.
