Moratia say is 1 month

Shopee one is more ex

I actually going HK, China, Japan

It difficult to get physical sim card for this 3. There is but it troublesome to change+more ex

For $12, simba offer 7gb without changing anything
especially if you just pay for the first $12 using paynow instead of credit card.

that's true. I usually buy on taobao, but 10GB data for Japan alone already costs about $12

Anyone has issues with connectivity on the trains, and when walking around HDB estates from block to block? I'm using a Samsung A73 5G and I ported in to SIMBA like 2 months ago.
Travelling along the EWL from Boon Lay towards the east. I will get the 5G icon displayed on my phones notification bar, but Chrome web browser will say 'no internet connection'...

I use the trains in the morning only occasionally. Today was such an occasion. By the time I reached Dover, I still had no connection. So I restarted my phone and then it was ok. I still had connection even when the train went underground at Tiong Bahru.

I had another occasion where this happened but not in a train. Again, it could be resolved only by restarting my phone.

Is it my phone? Or is it the network? Before this I was using Vivifi and the same phone but didn't have this issue... my wife uses a Samsung Galaxy S24+ and I think she doesn't have this issue but then she is usually at home like 99% of the time so maybe she doesn't notice it when we go out together.

Anyone can help? Thanks!

Normal for Simba. I ported my biz line to Simba cause see some users here say very good. Same location Simba 5G 20mbps while my eight 4G hits 120mbps. Peak hour can forget about Simba especially underground MRT lines either airplane mode of death or 0.01mbps while my eight still can surf net. Mainly keeping for overseas data roaming and calls.

how long does one need to stay stationary there? usually as train dashed towards the direction of dtl deeper into the tunnel may experience this. it dips then flip flops between high and very low, dependent on where you are.

app if not optimized will aswell, just have to wait short while then back, usually load website looks fine.

best is, they say my phone was 4G and VoLTE compatible (worked on Simba) last year, but this year it does not work because it degraded to 3G. 🤦‍♂️
ask to escalate, say cannot, claim got no system to log in cases, track. (rubbish answer, because they do have issue tracking system)
claim can only call internal staff on personal basis, and therefore they cannot reveal number to me. Hence, no way for me to follow up, or for them to contact me with updates.
ask to speak to a technical manager, (i was at Kaki Bukit), they say, not available, all interactions must go thru them.

ok, simba is not the only game in town.
strike 1: local network cui.
strike 2: drop support (phone shows it is on LTE voice network, but they dun want to register it on IMS)
strike 3: simba voice app deprecated (but still works if already installed, but dunno when it won't work anymore ie no more server<-->app connection)
attempt 4: let's see how the roaming and voice app works during my next few months of travel. if this fails, then bye-bye simba for 3rd and last time.
Wanted to get Simba, but seems they are getting worse. How are they doing?

I'm with Simba for the 3rd time. No improvement despite what everyone says.

it's still terrible at home. Maybe because i stay in ulu area, so coverage not so good.

I'm told, and i found that the coverage is better in downtown areas, but not necessarily speed. if your useage requires lots of data, then you will find it slow. If just streaming audio/video, then you probably can get by at lower resolutions/bitrates, and if the app has sufficient buffer.

it's generally ok for roaming, but if you dun travel much, it makes more sense to either buy local SIM or the one-off travel eSIMs.

If you like to go Treetop Trail or ulu boardwalks, sort of then you'll appreciate ST as it'll be last to disappear.

i usually state whether it is good for me, and where i frequent.

Simba and m1 4G coverage is bad for me, but may be good for others.
Singtel and Starhub coverage is good for me, but may be bad for others.

Just bought their sim card on 10/11, usually takes how long to receive the sim card by mail?

website says 5 working days, today is 4th working days already still no news
Hope you got your card by now? Wait for 7 working days can go collect at the service centre already. I don't trust their mailing, got 2 bad experiences in a row. Now it's either eSIM or sell -collect.

Anyone has experience porting out a SIMBA lucky number a few months after signing up?

Do you have any issues with the porting? I read somewhere that there's a penalty involved.
With their lucky number, what you paid is only half the cost and you've to stay with them for 2 years. If you want to port out, got to go to their service centre to pay the pro-rated cost of the other 50%.

For me Simba is only good for roaming. Local connection isn't reliable, so I'd say not really good.
