For areas in Pasir Ris, Tampines, Simei & Bedok, mostly ok.
Trouble starts when indoors, eg. in supermarket, apartment.
Have been getting a lot of low signals lately.
Still can surf or watch YouTube, but the websites don't load completely.
The other night, when I was at A&E in CGH, completely no signal !
Felt so let completely down by a telco during an emergency.
That was the first time i regret switching away from SingTel.
Yesterday, i was visiting a condo near Pasir Ris park area.
Completely no signal at all.
Even after i left the condo.
Had to toggle the mobile data switch off-&-on several times to get some signal.
Thought Simba was a very good deal for value.
Thinking of switching out to GoMo.
Any advice from any GoMo user ?
ex-gomo user, now simba user, staying in pasir ris.
gomo has it's own set of frustrations and problems.
for me, for now, not returning to gomo. things may change in future, but not thinking that far.
Oh wait, if its referring specifically to SIMBA then as others shared, SIMBA does not support VoWIFI.
so, it's like either a frying pan or a hot pot ?
Thanks for the good adviceyup, "choose your poison"
all depends on where you go/stay/travel to.
the features they support on your phone
and the other features the telco provides eg 5G SA/NSA, roaming, data roll-over, price etc.
my suggestion, since gomo has no minimum stay, just pick up a number and try it out for a month or so, then make your decision.
Thanks for the good advice![]()
Yes, I understand and from my understanding SIMBA doesn't support VoWIFI, no?it's whether the telco supports that phone or not.
my nothing phone 2 - vowifi on singtel postpaid, simba, simba roaming in VN
same phone: no vowifi on eight locally and in VN.
didn't take note when i was in JB in Nov.
edit: didn't pop my gomo sim into this phone before i ported out. on hindsight, should have done so for that vowifi data point.

Yes but on android only. iOS doesn’t have VoWiFi.Yes, I understand and from my understanding SIMBA doesn't support VoWIFI, no?
But from other's sharing, seems like there's mixed results though.
But for my devices, both IOS & Android doesn't reflect VoWIFI for my SIMBA.
All related settings turned on and checked thus, I am puzzled...![]()
If possible to have native, why need to use SIMBA Voice app?So why does one need vowifi when simba has the voice app.
Right, I shall try again.Yes but on android only. iOS doesn’t have VoWiFi.

Vowifi definitely works for Simba, works for my phone. So definitely phone model dependent.unfortunately, i don't have any definitive info on SIMBA VoWIFI support.
just like on other telcos, using the same phone, some will support, some won't.
my layman understanding is that the telco makes the choice on which phones to support, and most of the telcos don't publish updated exhaustive lists. So we can only guess the causes.
same here, where i can, i enable VoWIFI and make it the preferred (over VoLTE).
when it doesn't work, i can only shrug my shoulders and send feedback, but usually there's no reply, or i get a standard "we're looking into it" and subsequent silence.
edit: my guess is that more "popular" brands will get VoWIFI, but i can't confirm it as i've sold off my last Samsung![]()

Roaming in Malaysia, feel that celcom is rather slow even with 5g. So tried manual connecting to umobile and seems faster..
Question, is there any way to fix to umobile when the phone network operator setting is set to select automatically? Because I don't want to have to manually select simba again when I'm drive back to SG..
Using S24 ultra.
yup, see my post above. in same phone, Simba works, eight does not. eight works for other phones as reported by others. so VoWIFI is both telco and phone dependant.
Eyeball it to be slow when loading HWZ for example, in incognito mode on chrome, on celcom vs umobile.how slow is slow? care to run speed test and share the results?
That's why I'm asking is there any way on android, to let it auto select u mobile instead of celcom.when you are back to sg, you will realise no network and reminded to set automatically again
or you can put calender reminder
