I thought if you have wallet balance, the subscription is deducted from wallet first?

yes, deduct from wallet first if enough. if not, then the linked debit/credit card.

putting aside cashback, some don't want the linked card in there from bad experience (mine was in Gomo, and CL but dodged the on-going saga) as cancelling the recurring payments is done by the telco - telco can keep you in there longer than you intend, hence i use prepaid, which limits the loss and prevents the telco from preventing my departure.

i mean top up for 5 months worth of yr $12 subscription ($60)....get free $15 from the CNY recharge promo (get $5 for every $20 top up).

you will have balance $3 which comes free anyway.

I would like to help my mom sign up for the senior plan. She is currently using the simba $10 plan and i want to help her sign up + port in to $5 plan.

However I notice that there is no option to port in from simba. Is there anyway to work around this?

Go down to one of the simba ctr to convert to senior plan, not port
