hi guys, for simba on postpaid.

The roaming still need to recharge when it is depleted?

Or they let you roam then charge to your next bill?
Top-up your account. If account is depleted then cannot Roam, no deduction from Card nor bring to next bill.

Thanks, asking because my parents who are on Simba is in Australia now.
You can still do it through a dealer if you can't access their account/s now.

AI Overview

To top up SIMBA roaming data, you need to recharge your SIMBA Wallet. This is done through the My SIMBA App, online recharge, or by visiting a SIMBA dealer. You can use various payment methods like Visa, Mastercard, PayNow, or GrabPay. Recharging your SIMBA Wallet allows you to use data at the SIMBA Pay-Per-Use rates for roaming, which are charged per 10MB block.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

  • SIMBA Wallet:
SIMBA's roaming data is accessed through a SIMBA Wallet, which you need to recharge to enable data usage when roaming.
  • Recharging Options:
You can recharge your SIMBA Wallet online, via the My SIMBA App, or by visiting a SIMBA Service Center or dealer.
  • Payment Methods:
You can use various payment methods including Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, PayNow, GrabPay, and GooglePay.
  • Pay-Per-Use Rates:
Once your roaming data allowances are exhausted, you'll be charged SIMBA's Pay-Per-Use rates, which are charged per 10MB block.

I think Simba Voice for Android is no longer working, tried a few of my non-VoLTE 4G devices all failed to connect & activate. A sad moment.

actually not so important, use whatsapp, telegram..voice call.
It is still good to have the option to call directly. This is the sole reason for me to stayput with Simba so that my old devices can be used and stay relevant. I dont really care much abt data roaming. May be it is time to port out next yrs March to other telco with cheaper plan once the wallet value is used up. 😂

For me this feature is still useful, but for a different reason, since even my 11 year old Note 4 can do VoLTE for traffic light telcos.

When you are overseas in a country with roaming partners that do not support VoLTE, the app would still have allow voice calls.

Wifi calling could be an alternative, but not it does not work everywhere.

The voice app still works on ios devices.
It's been taken off google stores sicne a few mths back. Perhaps they have found a way to get around the initial problem which requires the app

Indeed, i got my apk from 3rd parties too as Play Store no longer had it. If iOS still works with this app, why Simba is giving different treatment to Android users? Sigh... 😕

Could be due to the OS.

Overall, Simba still gives very good value deals. If the voice call app is a major concern for you, can consider getting a (2nd hand) iphone

The purpose is to get my old Android devices to be able to call. Isnt it lame for me to get iPhone and still my Android devices remained unusable? But thank you for your kind suggestion. 😀

Sorry Bro, does this means I can't call thru the normal way anymore? Or I just need to be on volte?

This only affect non-VoLTE 4G Andriod devices. If you are iOS user, no issue to use Simba Voice app to call. As for Simba approved VoLTE devices, just enabled VoLTE function and call as per normal phone. 😀
