May I check ....should I leave it default setting by IOS for APN (ON Network Provider Settings) or OFF it and manually key in APNs as TPG etc? which one do you recommend? I am using IOS 18.6 with esim. thanks

We don't know that is why I said hopefully. Or may be Simba and Eight are waiting for each other to act first then counter attack. But as you said it is 7 August, by right any promo should be ard 3days earlier.

There's no deadline for a promotion, is there? Companies vary product and promotion announcement dates all the time. A hypothetical SG60-based promotion could be pre-National Day, on, post-, some combination, or not at all.

Eight already (pre)announced (on their Facebook account I think) that they'll have some sort of promotion announcement tomorrow (Friday, August 8). And they've already made a few changes recently such as introducing a $5 senior plan and increasing their $8 plan's data allotment.

Indeed no hard and fast rule for any promo but as SG60 is so big event and almost all other sectors are giving attractive promo, we will expect both Simba and Eight will surprise us but to-date, it is rather luke warm when their normal promo can give 1-1 top-up. And usually the timing of promo is few days b4 which is when people will be paying attention to any promo news.
