Is the simba 5G super congested or it's just my location? it's the last day of contract before renewal so I just burn data trying out speed test.

On speed test my 4G out performs my 5G on speed test, ran it 5 times for each...4g is rougly 20mbps faster than 5g....

My Simba 5g only can hit 20mbps... My zym 5g can go as high as 200-500mbps easily. Simba 5g like really weak lol

Any news on the merger yet?
No news, our friendly IMDA officer(s) is and has been super busy, working tirelessly without day and night going through all the consultation feedback(s) they have received the past 2½ months...

Eh... be contented, you're at least 4 times faster than my Simba 4G. My Simba 5G... so low I can't even remember. My Zym 5G is 700+.

Haha, since day 1 already this speed but many said more than 200+mbps at their estate

I am still keeping, paying abt $1.60-1.70/mth

Decided to give $12 Maxx a shot as support for my main Simba line that seems to be bone-chilling lately. $14.80 Eight didn't work as expected, while M1's works for me all these years.

Same phone.

Maxx (registered for port -in about 12 hours ago and already completed)

Simba

Last resort would be to bite the bullet, lose a couple $xxx and port the Simba line out to Maxx, or maybe directly to M1. Unless their pending merger happens.

Simba This local speed seems fine for normal usage but it latency too high.

That's sad, to experience once again that an MNO network can't be better than an MVNO's.

I'm playing with the idea of forwarding all my Simba (primary line) calls to the Maxx line, the supporting line that's providing the data connection for my main phone.

Is there anything I should take note of? Would I end up missing some sort of communication capability?

Simba Calls will be forwarded to the Maxx line.

I'll still be using the Simba line to call out, though I could just use WhatsApp Calls unless they're to banks and such.

Whatsapp account registered with primary line Simba number.

SMS, if need to, will still be via the Simba line.

Oh, before I travel, will cancel the Call Forwarding feature, and very possibly switch cross-border data to the Simba line too.

Feasible? :o

Dual SIM phone.

Simba connection has been rather iffy lately.

Using Maxx for data connection support.

Is zym the cheapest 5g plan now at $10.10 (Don't count Simba)? Or are there any alternatives? I do realise that Zym's numbers sometimes have issues with receiving SMS OTPs. Some apps also don't register Zym's numbers as legitimate...
