Is zym the cheapest 5g plan now at $10.10 (Don't count Simba)? Or are there any alternatives? I do realise that Zym's numbers sometimes have issues with receiving SMS OTPs. Some apps also don't register Zym's numbers as legitimate...

A number should only be considered invalid when it falls outside the new allocated range.
If the number is ported in, there should be no difference.

I doubt Mr coconut/paypal will check your mobile no. belongs to which telco.

May be your number is recycled and was used by scammers so Mr coconut blocked it.

I'm playing with the idea of forwarding all my Simba (primary line) calls to the Maxx line, the supporting line that's providing the data connection for my main phone.

Is there anything I should take note of? Would I end up missing some sort of communication capability?

Simba Calls will be forwarded to the Maxx line.

I'll still be using the Simba line to call out, though I could just use WhatsApp Calls unless they're to banks and such.

Whatsapp account registered with primary line Simba number.

SMS, if need to, will still be via the Simba line.

Oh, before I travel, will cancel the Call Forwarding feature, and very possibly switch cross-border data to the Simba line too.

Feasible?

How do you modify your call forwarding on your simba line?
Do i have to punch some codes or use the app?

Haha, since day 1 already this speed but many said more than 200+mbps at their estate

I am still keeping, paying abt $1.60-1.70/mth

IMHO.
I still using one number when they are TPG. Maybe i never go tell them my area no good.

I also port into TPG when they just started.
There was one underground carpark with no signal and i feedback to SIMBA last year and I was pleasantly surprised they rectify the problem.

SImba local speed seems to be worst. I just tested the same location use to getting 30Mbps down 5Up. Now only 10Mbps down 1Up

Not to worry, the 1st 2 years will still be set as the standard $10 price point as promised by Simba. Just that lower price level may be stagnant unless the telcos wants to grab market share and wage the price war again.

No. All scam callers are happy & fine with SIMBA

I mean when firend or family call you using non Simba line, they can't get thru you. But you call them, it is working.

My guess is possibly due to poor connection.

Simba calls need VoLTE so that could be the reason.

Can try restarting your phone.

For me, I got another telco line for my dual SIM phone to provide data support. Perhaps not 100% foolproof but that's my current see-how solution, since I don't make nor receive many calls.
