Yes always use it at sheng siong. Card didn't work there too. Already requested for a replacement card.

I don't think it's safe to use simply go using bank payment, I've switched back to ezlink, not worth all the stresses unless they can do a better job. (Don't know if it's **** programming quality!)

Firstly contactless payment failed 3 out of 4 times, making me looking stupid at the gate.

Secondly, my Google Pay got flagged for security alerts and all payment made to other merchants subsequently failed until I revised the security page to verify.

Thirdly, the mastercard failed after a certain period, all these unecessary problems do'nt even make up for the little rebates.

Used for abt 2 mth plus, now card failed. .

Previously someone mentioned that it can only tap for abt 1028 times seem like it true.. . so right now need to request for another new card from bank ?

how old were your mastercards? cards issued awhile back (maybe around 2017) have this security limit called 1024.. if you hit this limit for contactless transactions your card will be permanently locked.. newer cards very unlikely to kena this because MasterCard adjusted it to 21,000 instead..

yeah, I always heard about that, but not sure if that is correct

yes the emv chip transaction works to reset the 1024 counter but you need to do it before hitting the limit.. because once you hit the limit the card will be permanently locked and too late to try and reset it..

Why u so suay, most of us here never had this issue leh. perhaps it's your phone problem?

AFAIK, Visa didn't implement this security feature, thus this shouldn't happen if you are tapping with your visa cards.

Actually I have a lot of problems scanning too. Even with Samsung Galaxy watch that's supposedly tested to work by transitlink

So far I have tried with iPhone and Mate 9, both not reliable and I'm worried of being troubled by master card scanning limit.

Good to hear. Have to tap with the physical card because the virtual devices don't work well at all.

I have been using Apple Pay for rides. No issues on visa and master so far. Rather I faced issues with master after certain taps before Apple Pay was implemented.

curious guys - i only activated 1 card (hsbc visa) for simplygo. been using my iphone apple pay for all trips, only once i used apply pay entry and card exit.

past few weeks was ok, but last week got total 4 missing entry/exit, on the same day. trip was kovan-outram (ok), outram-dhoby (missing exit + entry), dhoby-kovan (missing exit + entry). submitted claims for all.

does it usually get approved pretty easily? and what are the odds of this happening?? first time doing it.

i didnt even know till i check my app for fun just nw.. lolol

Don't use devices to scan unless you are free to check your card daily. It's simply unreliable.

If the amount is still grey boxes, they are not yet confirmed. However if they are already in green boxes, you can submit the claims. Pretty easy and fast. It usually takes one or two days to have the claims confirmed and credited back to ur card.
