Just saw Singlife fb page that Singlife account will be closed on 15 Dec for new signups until 2021.

Due to an overwhelming response to the Singlife Account in 2020, we will be putting new sign ups for the Singlife Account on waitlist from 15 Dec 2020. After an amazing 2020 and a merger with Aviva Singapore underway, we wanted to take this chance to relook, regroup and refresh the Singlife experience. Existing Singlife Account customers will not be affected. Those who do not manage to submit their Singlife Account application by 23:59 on 14 Dec 2020 will need to put their names on the waitlist in the Singlife app to join the queue for 2021. Those on waitlist will be notified of when the Singlife Account reopens!

I'm currently unable to receive SingLife otp on my hp no. On Singtel Prepaid. Anyone experienced this and got it solved? It's been like this for the past week.

I don't think they need to pull a marketing ploy like this when every other bank account is dropping their interest, and they aren't very well prepared for huge surges in applications from past experiences.

No issue for the Singtel prepaid card user in my household.

Just deposited 10 mins ago. Haven't reflect

So far for deposits it is instantaneous from my experiences. Only when I withdraw funds at certain timings then it will take some time to take effect. No big deal.

I have confidence and no complaints about Singlife. Only cons is the S$20K daily withdrawal limit. More like I have more confidence in MAS. The only government organisation in Singapore that I trust 200% lah!

Those who complain about Singlife thinks their money is bigger than a bull cart wheel. Already offer you the best interest rates in Singapore. Give and take a little bit for slower service than others lah. Not as if they cheat your money tio boh?

Thanks. I think it's my porting of my prepaid line to TPG that screw things up. Now that I ported it back to Singtel, I'm not getting OTPs for a lot of apps, such as TransferWise, WhatsApps, GPay, Singlife etc. Gonna give Singtel a call to sort this out.

but None of u awaiting to place your deposits into Digital banking?? (yes must wait, esp if cannnot even endure and wait for Singlife q)
The digital bank results were originally slated for mid-2020 but were delayed due to Covid-19....i trust the licensee is all out ready while awaiting during covid

Means?

Dinner OTP are coming in, some not. And SingLife CS not very helpful. Hence, going to approach Singtel for help.

What’s “takes charges o your apps”

They say digibank is expected to start operating from 2022.

Even if that’s not the case, it’s definitely not happening tomorrow. So from now till tomorrow don’t care?

Oh, I get what you mean. Yes, usually I'll look at my phone first.

But, I had done the following to troubleshoot and the damned OTP is still not coming in.

1. Update Singlife app
2. Uninstall and reinstall Singlife app
3. Factory reset my phone, install Singlife only and tried logging in. I'm using Mi 10 Ultra CN rom by the way. It was working previously (as is all my other banking apps), so I don't think this is the root of the issue.
4. Moved the card to another phone (Huawei Mate 9 local set) which I was using before Mi10U with no issue.

All the above returned the same result. No OTP in. All other apps that I'm getting similar issue, I toggled the permissions for the app and it's now ok. For some, they offered alternative method of receiving OTP, such as email or receiving a call, and that's fine. Only Singlife is the issue now as they only provide OTP via SMS, no other ways.

Given that Singlife CS is not working today, I was hoping that Singtel is able to do some check on their end and provide some solution.

Update: Just ended my call with Singtel Prepaid Hotline and all they can do is "reset" the network on their end - whatever that means. It's still not working though.

Can you suggest what else I can do? Am at a loss of idea and already thinking of going down to Singlife office on Monday to close my account and withdraw my money.
