for those that have been spending $500 to achieve extra 0.5% all along, anything changed ?
No change to the spending $500. They have extended to 31 Dec 2021. The spend tracker in the app is very clear on how it works.

This confusing thing is referring to the Grow 0.5% Bonus return.

Crediting rates will be revised from 1.5% p.a. to 1.0% p.a. for the first S$10,000 from 1 Jul 2021

To all customers: crediting rates on the first S$10,000 in your Singlife Account will be revised from 1.5% p.a. to 1.0% p.a. and 1% to 0.5% p.a. on your next S$90,000 from 1 Jul 2021.

However, customers can earn up to 1.0% p.a. bonus return on the first S$10,000 from 1 July 2021 by participating in one or both of the following:

  1. The “Save, Spend, Earn” campaign to enjoy an additional 0.5% p.a. return. To qualify for this campaign, spend at least S$500 on your Singlife Visa debit card. (Terms apply. Find out more here); and
  2. The “Grow 0.5% p.a. Bonus Return” campaign to enjoy an additional 0.5% p.a. return. Simply sign up for a Grow policy and fund a minimum of S$1,000 to qualify for this campaign. (Terms apply. Find out more on 1 Jul 2021. In the meantime, read more about Grow here.)
*Bonus return earned on both campaigns will be credited to the Singlife Account.

bye bye singlife. withdrew until left 10K inside nia. used some of the withdrawn monies bought Astrea 6 for about 2.5% yield. really desperate times as far as interest rate goes. :s22:

But why singlife bcome astrea???
among the 3 retail bonds and 3 Astrea series on SGX, so far it has the highest yield. with the shitty rates these days, have to take on more risk to get higher returns. of course the other option is to top up CPF if one is close to 55.
