hey guys, i think i might have some discrepancy in my singlife interest earned.. i was asking their CSO who informed me that the daily interest rate earned is:

* (1 + 2.5%) ^(1/365.25) -1 = 0.00676% per day (=<$10k)

using same analogy for >$10k:

* (1 + 1.0%) ^(1/365.25) -1 = 0.00272% per day

i did up an excel sheet and responded to their cso email last thursday, but no response as of today.

don't want to throw in the numbers here to confuse, so will provide the summary which i sent to the CSO:
I opened my Singlife account on 8th March 2020, and I had only S$100 in it from 12th - end of March. I received $5.96 interest for Mar 2020. Just by looking at the surface numbers, it would make no sense that with at least S$10,000 for 15 days (1-15 Apr), my interest is only reflected as $6.71.

I thought anything lower than $500 wont get 2.5%?

So u only get 10k @ 2.5% from 1st to 8th as 8th is your acc opening which u gotten your payout on

Your cycle is from 8th to 7th of following month correct?

Is it even possible to earn $5.96 over 20 days on a amount of $100 ?

Even a balance of $10,000 only gets you $13.50 over 20 days.

For 1 day of 10k. Interest is 67c. 5.96 is more likely for 8 days of 10k

You might want to refer to 13-Mar-2020 replies in this thread. Try using 2.4696% and see if tally with the amount you gotten for your 1st month.

When will the interest be calculated? And deposited

Daily accrued. U can see it grows daily. (Can see cannot touch) Only once a month on account opening day this accrued interest is being deposited into your acc
