We’re raising our crediting rates!

As part of our commitment to provide you with a better way to financial freedom, we are raising the Singlife Account’s crediting rates from 1 Oct 2022:

Base returns from 1 Oct 2022

First S$10,000 1.5% p.a.

Next S$90,000 1.1% p.a.

We are also lowering the minimum amount to have an in-force Singlife Account policy - It’s now S$100 instead of S$500.
But why not immediately in this month? Drag for one more month also song.

Usually cut will need to give notice.

but increase can be instant Ma. So quite strange.

maybe they think ppl wouldn’t read properly and just transfer in

Just to check anyone has a Singlife ID is becuz they invest with dollarDex (Navigator) which is later acquired by Singlife so you automatically got a login? So if want to go for this Singlife Account need to apply and register for a new Singlife ID?

PS I already email the CS so while waiting asking in forum if any reader is same situation as I. Do you need to register for a separate Singlife ID if going for the Singlife Account?
Just to inform CS has get back to me. Singlife Account is separate from the dollarDex (Navigator) which is later acquired by Singlife. So you need to register a new Singlife ID if want the Singlife Account. Hope this help those in same shoes as me.

Noted. I am now going to open Singlife for use 01 Oct 2022 becuz RHB need shift out can put 10k in Singlife
actually Singlife is only good for $10k and realistically at 2% (1.5% + 0.5% for card spend). why not go for other high yield accounts which can accommodate more than $10k? I think CIMB is not bad right? for fuss-free accounts. or even eSaver...

Diversify a bit. Intend to put 10k. The rest like you say put into other banks. Also Singlife does have insurance, investment plan so who know in future I may need it. Minimum balance $100 I think is still reasonable

Some of my family members withdraw a large part of their SingLife out in batches to deposit elsewhere ard a week ago

Now Singlife has disabled the function to allow Unlock card, whenever the unlock button is being clicked, it just jumps back to lock card Automatically (App has been updated)

Why are they limiting ppl from using their own funds
Anyone encountered same problem ?
