i feel very tempted to sell last few days..
but, oh well..

Yup was so tempted...but afterwards what to do with the money? How to find another stock that gives decent dividends, is stable, and still got capital appreciation. That's why holding on to my singpost babies.

Hope they don't disappoint with the announcement!

To put things into prospective, since its IPO in 2003, this is only the second time that Singpost is having a trading halt.

The last time it does so was in 2005 when it terminates it decision to invest in ACCS.

Even when it disposes property, change CEO or make acquisitions, it does not ask for a trading halt.

So what could warrant a trading halt? The suspense is almost palatable. :s22:

Singpost seldom trading halt, even for acquisition.

Could be related to the Singapore Post Centre. It is an underutilised gem.

Yeah, the Singapore Post building is on a very good piece of land. Paya Lebar is developing into a commercial hub, and it has so close proximity to the East Coast area.

If SingPost divests this property, they'll get more cash to fund its e-commerce expansion. I think the new CEO has lots of potential and ideas, given his past experience as a consultant at McKinsey.

P.S. When I first realized SingPost was halted, I thought SGX was investigating into its large gains over the past few days, lol. Too many of such situations happening on SGX.

If they are selling sing post centre, it could mean a special dividend is in the works and also they will need to rent right? Hopefully sell to a reit den if you own both singpost and that reit, you huat. Hahaha :s12:::s12:
