I have applied for Singsaver Amex True cash back deal for a Ergotune chair.
26 July - Application on Singsaver
29 July - Activation of card
Aug- Fulfillment of required spending
Sep- No reply from Singsaver if the redemption is successful or not
4 Oct- email Sing saver if they can check
6 Oct - Singsaver replied to say that the application reference number provided was not eligible for the promotion
6 Oct - I checked with Amex and they confirmed that I have fulfilled the criteria for the promotion and urge Singsaver to double check with Amex. I was told by singsaver that they need up to 21 days to do the check.
7 Oct- I take the initiative to get confirmation from Amex. The application is tagged under a different Application reference number
8 Oct- I emailed back to Singsaver with Amex email confirmation as evidences.
11 Oct- Singsaver get back to only say that they will be checking on it
26 Oct- after 21 days from 6 Oct, I emailed to check on the status of the check as it has passed the 21 days which they have promised on 6 Oct.
27 Oct- Singsaver replied to say that they have failed to finish verifying the check and asked me to resubmit a form with the correct application reference number.
When I questioned why they didn’t ask me to do it earlier back in 8 Oct. They brushed me off by saying …..”Not to worry on this, we have already raised your application reference number earlier for checks with the bank. This was already done prior to the request of resubmitting the correct application reference number.” Sounds to me like a lot of excuses
31 Oct-
exactly 3 months from the day I apply for the promotion. I haven’t received the confirmation of my redemption…..
left alone to say the actual receipt of the promotion gift.

i wouldn’t have applied for this promotion if I am told that this wait can take so long (3 MONTHS and counting!!!!) and the process is so complex to simple customer like me.
