More updates

It was a month later that Sing saver has asked me to resubmit the form using the new ARN and promised me that there is no issue.
But today, they have updated me that I have to wait for another 90- 120 days from the day I submit the new form because they have to count the days based on the date I have resubmitted the new ARN.

This would mean… my application for this promotion on 29 July 2021 would only get the claim on 03 March 2022

7 months of wait!!!! Vomit blood 🩸
I have reported this to the bank and will be canceling my card because of this.

Let my experience speaks for itself.
I have applied for Singsaver Amex True cash back deal for a Ergotune chair.

26 July - Application on Singsaver

29 July - Activation of card

Aug- Fulfillment of required spending

Sep- No reply from Singsaver if the redemption is successful or not

4 Oct- email Sing saver if they can check

6 Oct - Singsaver replied to say that the application reference number provided was not eligible for the promotion

6 Oct - I checked with Amex and they confirmed that I have fulfilled the criteria for the promotion and urge Singsaver to double check with Amex. I was told by singsaver that they need up to 21 days to do the check.

7 Oct- I take the initiative to get confirmation from Amex. The application is tagged under a different Application reference number

8 Oct- I emailed back to Singsaver with Amex email confirmation as evidences.

11 Oct- Singsaver get back to only say that they will be checking on it

26 Oct- after 21 days from 6 Oct, I emailed to check on the status of the check as it has passed the 21 days which they have promised on 6 Oct.

27 Oct- Singsaver replied to say that they have failed to finish verifying the check and asked me to resubmit a form with the correct application reference number.
When I questioned why they didn’t ask me to do it earlier back in 8 Oct. They brushed me off by saying …..”Not to worry on this, we have already raised your application reference number earlier for checks with the bank. This was already done prior to the request of resubmitting the correct application reference number.” Sounds to me like a lot of excuses

31 Oct-
exactly 3 months from the day I apply for the promotion. I haven’t received the confirmation of my redemption…..
left alone to say the actual receipt of the promotion gift. 😵💫


i wouldn’t have applied for this promotion if I am told that this wait can take so long (3 MONTHS and counting!!!!) and the process is so complex to simple customer like me.

lesson learnt for you I guess.. be it with moneysmart or singsaver... if you want their promos then dyodd and make sure you follow the steps properly

First of all, it is not me who got the ARN wrong. The system generated 2 ARN for my application.
The process has not provided the user the confirmation if the ARN number to be used is correct. This shows the poor and complex customer experience for just a simple application of a credit card.
Secondly, I have proactively approached Sing Saver and Amex to rectify this once the issue is known. But there isn’t much help from Sing saver… it just got hold up… dragged on and on. I was not even being informed to resubmit the form only until much later which further delay the process as the day count starts from the resubmission date.

You have to agree with me that the complexity of the Sing saver process has really put most people off. It is almost like it is intended to confuse customers. The application process is far worse than how a credit card promotion is carried out by the bank themselves.


I have written recommendations to the banks
to caution them of tie up such partners. it is very bad for their branding and might cause reputation loss.

i know that we don’t live in a perfect world and tolerance for poor services is necessary.
But having to wait for 254 days from July 2021 ( I am just informed that I have to wait for another 120 days more from Dec) for a gift redemption of a credit card promotion is just far from being acceptable..

Actually, if you are a Sing saver staff, can you feedback to your management about this?

singsaver told me I'm eligible and wait until 120 days. Post that they ask me to wait until end March 2022 and not they are asking me to wait until end of April 2022?

has anyone else experience same?

Yes, it has been 200 days for me. They keep saying they will contact me soon. I am wondering if they have issues on their end and can't give out the promised offers any more. Yet they keep advertising new deals! They are attaining scam status soon.

What exactly is the scam? They didnt take any money from you
If they promise you that they would do something for you, like giving you some sign-up gifts, and later refuse to live up to the promise, if that's not scam then what? Making a promise and refuse to entertain it.

Definitely something fishy is going on..

Just sharing.(waiter abt 3mth +)
Applied for Singsaver CC promo on 31st March.
First few day of application, the bank partner emphasized on the process.
Within a week got my card to spend.
Received email for collection on the 21st July.
When i went to the collection venue, got at least a queue of 100 paxs in front of me collecting Dyson, ipad, Egrotune and etc..
The warehouse filled with goods for collection.

Recieved Citibank dyson promo was abt 4 mths wait now SCB applied in Mar n hit reqd in Mar need to wait till end Aug

anyone knows how long is the wait for Ergotune? Applied and spent in Apr. Coming to 4 months now.

never had issues with singsaver or moneysmart.

received luggage / nintendo switch as advertised.

just need to make sure you follow their instructions properly. Many people blindly apply but didn't bother to read thus affecting the link between the banks and them.

applied for UOB promo in end Apr 22, and citibank promo in early May 22.. until now still no sound no picture. few days ago email them and came back woith template reply, got reply machiam no reply, kept saying 120 days BS.

should write to MAS already... ridiculously long wait for credit card gifts
