We have to request for bridge mode, if not they will just give the normal ONR. Just talk to them nicely and request for it to be added in the contract. Give any reason if asked for.

Later when Singtel staff comes to your home, you have to remind him/her that you got the bridge mode in the contract. If not, they will take the easy way and do the normal installation. The bridge mode installation needs extra steps for them and I believe not all of the are experienced in the steps required.

The staff who came to my house said he had never done it before, and refered back to to his senior officer for instructions on every step.
You should have just ask the tech to come here and read the instructions like so many of us did to configure the bridge mode.

I now have Native IPV6, and passed the IPV6 test at https://test-ipv6.com/.
But many sites which would load normaly are not doing so when enable IPV6 in my Asus RT-BE88U.

Did you bridge the ONR? If not are you using your RT-BE88U in router mode or AP mode?

No issues with SingTel native IPv6 for my 5Gbps plan, using bridged ONR and OpenWRT router.

The ONR is bridged by SingTel free for 2 years. I'm getting public IP in my RT-BE88U. The IPV6 now works after I disabled the automatic DNS server tab and added third party DNS. Any Third party DNS also can.

Boss if considering to change ship from Singtel. M1 or Starhub is better in your view?

It depends on your preference.

M1 is probably better because of the better bundled router.

Starhub uses TP-Link Service Provider models like EB810v (high spec but buggy), HB710 and HB410.

M1 uses either TP-Link consumer model or Asus model.

What would make one choose starhub then?

Apart from the uncertainty over service quality with simba merger I guess

If you need Starhub TV+ bundle, then Starhub is a better choice.

And you may not care about the router bundle, then Starhub is also an okay choice.

M1 -- free digital voice, better bundled router, smaller player in Fibre Broadband, pending merger with SIMBA

Starhub -- Starhub TV+ service. Some also claim that Starhub may have better speed.

Today installed the wifi 7 routers (HB611) after upgrade to 3gbps, and tested the WLAN Frequency: 2.4GHz/5GHz/6GHz.:

2.4 - download speed around 40Mbps
5GHz - download speed 372Mbps
6GHz - download speed to 1222Mbps

What is the test device used? How far away is your test device from the router?

6GHz speed is pretty decent.

5GHz seems to be on the lower side. I would expect something greater than 600 Mbps.

2.4GGz is highly congested so no need to worry even though the speed is on the lower side.

Using my Honor Magic 7 pro mobile phone, which has WiFi 7 and can detect 6Ghz. The distance is less than 10m

10m is a long distance for WiFi routers in Singapore.

Still it is strange that your 5GHz performance is much lower than 6GHz. In 10m distance, the speed difference should not be so big.

At close range like 3m, then 6GHz can be double the speed of 5GHz.

Maybe you can check your channel bandwidth setup in the HB611-SGST router.

Aggressive settings --> 320 MHz for 6GHz band, 160 MHz for 5GHz band
Less aggressive settings --> 160 MHz for 6GHz band, 80 MHz for 5GHz band

I recently got the 3gbps plan. Was issued with Nokia XS-204X-A ONR and installed 2 days ago.

Followed the guide found in the forum to set to bridge for LAN1 (10G) port and connected my OPNsense router. So far, very stable, didn't notice any issues. My OPNsense router only has 2.5G, and speedtest showing about 2.1Gbps speed, which is normal.

For setting the LAN port as bridge, I also login to superadmin using "support" as username, and the password is the reverse of what was printed on the label at the bottom of the ONR.
Selected "Create a new Connection" in the Network->WAN page, Connection mode set as "Bridge mode", "Enable/Disable" is ticked.
I also set the VLAN according to what was shown for the original WAN connection, which is in my case: "Enable VLAN" is ticked and the "IP mode" set to "Add svlan", with "VLAN ID" as 10, didn't change the "VLAN PRI" which is default 0. And just tick the LAN port to bind, which in my case is LAN 1, only. My OPNsense router did not need to set any VLAN on the WAN side, just normal DHCP client on WAN side.

YMMV, I do not have any other services connected to the ONR, such as TV box or phone line. Not sure if this settings will affect those or not.
Bridge at your own risk.
Just wanted to update the forum, since I am very grateful to achieve this bridging setup with Singtel's ONR due to reading these forums.
Hi, wonder if you could link where you found the guide.
Also question, what’s the difference with this method you used vs ticking the bridge mode and select lan 1 as bridge mode (instead of default route mode). Does one work and other doesn’t?

Guys, a bit of good news to share:
After months of threats, persuasion, and reasoning, SingTel has finally relented and offered full waiver of $10 monthly charge for full 24 months to provide ONR in bridge mode. I gladly signed up the 3Gbps service + 2 HB611 + analogue phone line for $39.90. No loaded extras because I declined all.

Why not choose Starhub or M1 to save me the trouble? Well, I don’t have much faith in those two. Plus, to get the same channels as I have on SingTel TV, I would have to pay a lot more at StarHub.

So bottom line is: keep trying until you succeed.

Good on you man! You gave them the finger, and got away with it. (y)

Excellent choice on doing away with them useless freebies. I asked for that when i did my recontract too.

Somehow wrongly posted to Starhub thread.

i got sms from singtel . ytd saying there is a 3gbps plan for only $29.90 and is with their wifi 7 router. did anyone receive this too? sign up is by 30 sep. might be a good deal at this pricing sia
this the link included in the sms: www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/broadband/eform/ga-edm/3gbps-plans

I got it too, this is only for new sign up right? $29.9 is good deal

Nice one. Thanks for the update.

This is a very good offer for SingTel:
S$29.90 per month for 3Gbps plus one HB611-SGST unit.

The other SingTel recontract offer is S$39.90 per month for 3Gbps plus two HB611-SGST units.

******
Edit to add: I did not notice that this is posted in the wrong thread. I thought it was posted in the SingTel thread.

I will still suggest new users to go for the Starhub 3Gbps offer at S$29.50 per month with free HB410 and not the above SingTel offer.

Existing Starhub users may want to check with Starhub to get a much better 10Gbps recontract offer at S$30.49 per month with free HB710, that beats all the offers out there from any ISPs.
