it's NSA for now. but Singtel one is 3.5 Ghz while Starhub is 2.1 Ghz

3.5Ghz should be able to achieve higher speed.

but how much difference is there? i mean doubt for normal surfing social media and web browsing have any huge impact on it right? den here comes to live stream and gaming, maybe have better lower latecy and faster ping gaming experience?

How will the customers selection like for this Singtel 5G trial?
I had asked Singtel via whatapps chat and the reply is eligible customers with compatible 5G handset will receive an sms to enrol them into the 5G trial.

The ball is always on their court. Not sure how are they going to allocate it fairly.... Finger crossed.

Starhub 5G trial better because of the wide coverage area. Singtel only have selected area mostly downtown / CBD side.

Those area Singtel already has strong network (fiber cabling to the building roof top). So make it easy for them to do trial without investing too much to get the test result.

Think CBD area always have those rich customer who will first to switch to 5G plan and device.

I also asked Singtel via Whatsapp. The CSO replied, mentioning that "Existing Singtel Combo 1, 2, 3, 6, 12 or XO 48, 78, 108 customers will be able to enjoy 5G Now trial from 9 September 2020 in a progressive manner. Customers must have recontracted with a 5G device offered by Singtel. Eligible handsets include: Huawei P40 5G series, Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G, Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G, Oppo Find X2 Pro 5G, Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G." This information is accurate for customers who recontracted or signed up before 1 Sep 2020.

For customers who recontract or sign-up after 1 Sep 2020, 5G VAS will be auto provisioned upon sign-up or recontact.

Order of priority for the first 10000 customers will be (likely) based on: price of plan, and then date of sign-up or recontract.

A whole world of difference. With the 3.5GHz band, you can easily hit up to 1.3Gbps actual speed. Very very fast. 2.1GHz can't do much, max is about 600Mbps.

5g can replace home bb. IOT is here.

only if 'true' 'unlimited' mobile broadband with no speed cap is offering.

else it is the same as driving a Ferrari in lion city.
