The CEO added that full 5G service was restored around 8pm that day.

Separately, on Mar 17, around 2,000 customers faced mobile connectivity issues due to “a software bug from an earlier pre-planned IT system upgrade”.

“This issue was not immediately apparent as it coincided with the earlier incident. Once identified, our teams took immediate action and connectivity was progressively restored, with full restoration completed by around 4pm on the same day,” said Mr Ng.

Hello IMDA, we need this!!!!! 🤬
New service in Japan to allow mobile users to use other carriers’ networks during outages

please don't.... all the other reliable networks will become overloaded and unreliable as singtel users try it out and port over.

let the singtel users repent first, porting out and signing up for non-singtel lines shoudl not be allowed. as lky said. 5-10 years of repentance will be just nice.

The phone used also play a part at underground MRT stations or in the lift, as different phones may have different signal receptions.

In terms of signal reception, iPhones are known to be worse than flagship Android phones. Samsung flagship phones may not be as good as other brands' flagship Android phones.

Just a reference from the Oppo Find N6 thread.

noticed n6 vs s25u when in same lift
n6 hold onto signal so much better vs s25u

felt loading website much faster

Samseng nvr had good reception all these years. even my S26U still feel the same, drop call in the lift. My X9Pro, N6 all can talk in the lift without drop calls.

iPwn worse.

What is the plan you are using? That is a known problem. And it may affect all providers.
Singtel MVNO: Zym 5GNSA, I wanna upgrade to 5GSA, but not sure if that helps...

The lag is from NSL Marina Bay all the way to Braddell, with signals connected only at the stations itself.. in between, cut off.

Long time vivifi and Zym customer.

It used to be good for 2 or 3 years ago, until Q3 last year... When the 5GSA start to get serious, 4G and 5G NSA lines started to deteriorate...

This is a known problem for service providers. But it is kind of especially true for ST MVNO users as per the reports, no matter using 5G NSA or 5G SA.

Singtel S$15.28 SIM Only plan (with 12 months contract, recontract offer, not for new sign-up or port-in) is reported to be better. Singtel S$19.25 5G+ Enhanced Lite (12 months contract, CIS offer) is also reported to be better. They will still have some interruptions during peak hours.

Some ST MVNO users get M1 Maxx plan to help out.
