If they start to charge, then you can port out again.

No, it has been free for many months though the terms and conditions indicates otherwise.

Not as of now, until they change their T&Cs. But you must keep your line active monthly, by sending sms, make a call or use some data

Maxx Indeed reinstates the original condition as follows:

"1. Base Plan @ $0 Promotion Discount will be valid till further notice. Refer to the M1 website for the latest update."

It was changed to $5 purchase if no add-on purchase for I think 60days, but actually not implemented. Didn't know when the original $0 condition was reinstated back. A very positive sign that $0 Base Plan will be here to stay. 😀

Latest report on 30 Dec 2025.
and i'm into another month of base plan. 5G SA still available for me.

4th month into Base plan

You may want to contact Singtel for help to confirm.

But I believe the terms and conditions are correct, as it is also consistent with the FAQ.

https://cdn1.singteldigital.com/con...ts-services/mobile/hi/pdf/singtel-hi-faqs.pdf

3. Can I transfer my existing number to Singtel hi!?
Yes. To transfer your existing number, it must be an active non-Singtel mobile line with no outstanding
payments and registered under your NRIC/FIN with your telco. Your request to port-out from your existing telco must be submitted at least 7 days before your next billing cycle.
Update here. Have transferred from SingTel line (non-Hi) to the $5 senior plan through the port-in process.

I had also confirmed with Hi! support chat and this is the correct process to transfer SingTel line. So the below is accurate.

Can I transfer my existing number to Singtel hi!
Yes. To transfer your existing number, it must be an active non-Singtel hi!* mobile line

Great. Thanks a lot for the update.

SingTel should update other documents to reflect this.

You need to top up your wallet now or before 26 Jan 2026. Then you need to purchase the plan on 26 Jan 2026 to be sure that the data will roll over.

If you enable recurring monthly plan using credit card (default option for new online sign-up or port-in, not sure for heya migration), then by right you do not need to do anything and the new S$12 plan will start on 27 Jan 2026.

You may want to chat with SingTel using the SingTel hi! App to make sure.

https://cdn1.singteldigital.com/con...ts-services/mobile/hi/pdf/singtel-hi-faqs.pdf

2. Can I rollover my unused data, calls, and SMS?

Unused local data, calls and SMS can be rolled over if you purchase another Singtel hi! plan before the expiry.

You can rollover and have up to 400GB local data, 2000 minutes, 1000 SMS and $20 IDD value on your Singtel hi! line at any point in time.

Any unused balances for roaming data will not be rolled over to the next month.

7. My Singtel hi! plan is expiring soon. How do I recharge?

Simply top up your Singtel hi! plan through our Singtel hi! app or Singtel hi! authorised retailers.

The validity period for the new Singtel hi! plan will start on the date of purchase of the new Singtel hi! plan.

You can also rollover unused local data and local mins if you top up before the plan expires.

I believe SingTel hi! 4G plans will not be good for this use case based on the reports of other SingTel MVNO 4G plans.

I have not tested this myself but I tested NEL lines on not so congested time with SingTel S$15.28 SIM Only 5G plan in 4G mode, I don't think it is that good. 5G is way better.

M1 Maxx 5G plan will be better than any 4G plans (including Singtel hi!) based on my testing.

But that is just my own tests and I don't take MRTs during peak hours. Hopefully others can share as well.

I ported in to SingTel hi! 4G S$10 plan (S$12 plan with port-in offer) on 21 Dec 2025.

I disabled the recurring payment option and now the hi! Wallet is with S$0 value. It falls back to the hi! base plan and the date is set to 19 Feb 2026 (90 days).

I can see that there are three add-on packs to buy if I want to continue using this with data/voice/roaming.

S$12 recurring plan (per 30 days)
S$12 one year plan at S$120.
S$12 one time plan (30 days)

Anyway, unlikely I will continue with this hi! 4G plan. Most likely I will let it die slowly.

But the website stated 60 day grace period before the line is suspended

Yes, grace period is 60 days

SIM Validity is 90 days in total from the sign up date, first 30 days with the full data/voice/SMS/IDF/Roaming benefits, 60 days grace period after that.

It is better than eight 4G, CUniq 4G and SIMBA 5G plan for local usage.

It is worse than M1 Maxx 5G and CL 5G for local usage.

And of course it is worse than my main SingTel S$12 S$15.28 SIM Only plan.

A good reply here for reference in the eight mobile thread.

Even the expensive SingTel 5G+ Priority plan may still have issues alhough it will be quite a bit better.

As if other network will have no issues during morning peak hours in MRT

After experiencing multiple different services (including the trial Singtel 5G+ Priority line), I've come to accept that mobile network will have good days and bad days in peak heavy traffic areas.

Feel free to keep jumping networks if not convinced LOL

Reference from the eight thread.

You can see eight 4G is also very bad. eight 5G is a bit better but still not good.

Peak hours North South Line (especially around Orchard MRT station) is probably one of the most difficult one for all the mobile service providers.

Eight network damn lag today both 5G and 4G mrt morning peak around 7.45am. North South line.

Anyone facing the same issues?

Peak hours no mvnos are spared

Yeah it was completely non usable during Mrt peak, thus i switch to 5G eight.

But iffy la, 1 week maybe 3 or 4 days work fine, other 3 days not working.

Damn it I reckon their top up 1 for 1 promo got catch one, cause network only half the time workable so they breakeven.

Yes, nowadays there's no better network it seems.
Just have to manage expectations and have redundancy in place.

I have all 4 MNOs & it's sub MVNOs and they face connectivity and reliability issues respectively.

It seems to me that SingTel hi! 4G PostPaid plans are now widely available from the authorized retailers.

Not so sure how popular the plans are.

Not so sure how many heya users already moved out.

Strong competitors to SingTel hi! 4G PostPaid plans at S$12 or S$10 per month.

1) Singtel MVNOs (Zym, Zero1, VIVIFI and CMLink) now start to get 5G SA for the 5G plans around S$15 per month.

2) SingTel MVNOs (Zym, Zero1, VIVIFI and CMLink) also get free 6-month or 180 days of free 5G access for the 4G plans at around S$10 per month.

3) M1 Maxx 5G plan at S$12 per month for new sign-up.

There are other plans as well to be considered but I think Singtel MVNOs are the most competitive versus SingTel hi! 4G postpaid plans.
