Hi, I've ported over from Direct Singtel SIM Only Plan to Singtel hi!.

It works as expected, so far no issues. What you expect from Singtel 4G, it feels the same. I have not tried at crowded places like concerts.
u port online or authorised singtel retailer or singtel exclusive retailer?

I have only used Singtel hi! 4G postpaid plan for one month. Just want to share my experiences.

1) I ported from Cuniq S$9.9 4G plan to Singtel hi! S$10 plan (port-in offer) using Singtel hi! website link (online) and I paid S$10 using Credit Card. I chose to go with the eSIM option and it was a pretty smooth port-in process.

2) I then removed the Credit Card from the app. This is not poassible for M1 Maxx if you sign up online.

3) I did not renew the plan and let it become the "base plan" after 30 days. They only cut the line after another 60 days.

4) Singtel hi! 4G is not that great, maybe just okay for my daily usage. My opinion is that it is not as good as M1 Maxx 5G plan and CL 5G plan. CL does have sub-S$10 5G plans if you check out the CL thread. M1 Maxx 5G plan is at S$12 now.

5) All in all, IMHO Singtel hi! 4G plan at S$10 or S$12 plan is NOT worth the money.

6) For seniors, Singtel hi! 4G Senior plan at S$5 per month is not bad. But you may want to conside the new Singtel S$6 5G Senior plan with 12 month contract. Take note that is only for port-in and new signup only.

Take note SingTel 4G coverage is not the same as SingTel coverage. But if we just compare 4G networks, indeed SingTel 4G may have an advantage compared to M1 4G network (less coverage for M1) and StarHub 4G network (similar coverage, but more congested for StarHub).

Still personally I rate any non-SIMBA 5G plans higher than SingTel hi! 4G plan. Just my personal opinion.

As for eSIM, you do not need to go with eSIM. For my main plans I will stay with physical SIMs.

What is Singtel 4G coverage is not the same as Singtel coverage? Does it mean that Singtel 4G is not Singtel and thus not Singtel coverage? 🤔

Maybe I should say Singtel SIM Only Plans Coverage -- they have 5G and 4G.

I feel Singtel 5G coverage is getting better and better. And 4G will get worse and worse along the way. I have used Singtel mobile since Sept 2013 and I felt the 4G coverage did get worse after 5G deployment.

Singtel SIM Only users --> they have access to both 5G Cell Tower and 4G Cell Tower
Singtel hi! 4G users --> they only have access to 4G Cell Towers

There are those older plans that are 4G but got access to 5G via add-ons.
Coverage is very subjective, over time, there are more buildings and the existing base stations could get blocked. :ROFLMAO:

Shopee is still offering Heya topup service. Anyone knows if I purchase Heya topup on Shopee for a Hi number, will it be credited successfully?

Finally it's time for me to do a $3 IDD topup for my Singtel hi! (Ported over from heya) to continue my number parking. Happy to share that the $3 topup via the digital purchase section on Shopee works.

So theoretically other top ups should also work for your hi! number.

Hmm, I think the S$3 IDD for 180 days validity extension only works for SingTel Prepaid. The 180 days extension may not be valid for SingTel hi! 4G postponed plans.

SingTel hi! base plan validity is 90 days from the last payment (60 days grace period).

Not so sure how long the S$3 IDD add-on will extend the SingTel hi! Base Plan validity. Please update us. Thanks.

It looks like it's 60 days validity for base plan.

Before topup: Base plan/wallet expiry 26 Mar 2026

Did a topup today 25 Mar 2026.

After topup: Base plan/wallet expiry 24 May 2026

New Add on for $5/- Senior plan.

400GB (SG, MY, ID, TH, HK)

3GB APAC roaming

3GB Worldwide roaming (60+ destinations)

Now this becomes a much better competitor to eight/SIMBA Senior plan. Main missing feauture is free roaming voice (incoming and outging).

Just did a side by side for Singtel's Senior Plan and Singtel's Hi Senior Plan.
Looks like Singtel's Hi Senior Plan is more "budget" friendly in terms of data, both local and abroad. Doesn't know whats the catch though.

Edit : Ping me if this thread is not the correct place for in this post.
