Seeking answers from Hi $5 Senior plan users, thanks in advance:

1. Any expiry date for the credit balance in Hi wallet?
2. Can $5 be paid by PayNow using the hi app?
3. Can the auto-renewal of the plan be turned off?
4. When in Base plan, can SMS be received?
5. Anyone successfully port out while in Base plan?
6. Can post-in be requested later or must be during sign-up?

There’s rumor going about that SingTel hi plans has capped roaming speed. And some operators in Malaysia is being denied access.

Anyone could verify?

I see the promotion but I can't find a sign up link for 2 months free port in. Even the signup process doesn't mention the 2 months free port in.

I couldn't find the free 2nd and 3rd month promo on singtel website so i messaged their chat and got this response (If not ready, don't market it)

"Hello, thank you for patiently waiting apologies for the long delay as per checking with our team, seems like this promotion is not yet out but we are currently coordinating with our relevant team about this promotion and when to be release, I appreciate your kind understading"

Actually, the GOMO $6 senior plan provides the best value. 5G, 400GB MY, 6GB APAC, 3GB Intl.

Since Singtel did not use their enhanced tag for their inhouse $6 senior plan, its safe to say that it may not have significant data prioritisation over sub brands or MVNOs.
Was trying to jump to Hi Senior plan, Faced issues when signing thru the website. Then contacted livechat. All went well. But when shown the final contract, it was another plan. That axxhole tyring to smoke. So beware.

In the end, jumped to Gomo $6 plan. Now waiting for sim card. Thanks for the heads up.

FYI: if you want physical SIM, you should not sign up online which will give you eSIM.

Let's see the outcome below to see if it is possible to switch from eSIM to physical SIM or not.

Thank you for your help. I've switched to Singtel Hi Postpaid Plan and already have an eSIM, but I'd prefer a physical SIM card. What should I do? Go to a physical store? I'll try tonight, but I'm still using a temporary number, so they might not be able to change it for me.

I don't think you can do that any more once you sign up SingTel hi! online with eSIM.

If you want physical SIM, you should sign up at the authorized dealer shop.

Anyway, you can try your luck at the authorized dealer shop...

I'll try going to an authorized dealer shop, and I'll also inquire at a Singtel store. Last time I went, the store said that if I bought it online, I could exchange it for a physical SIM card at the store free of charge. But I think the guy there didn't quite understand, since he probably thought I couldn't port it into Singtel.

FYI, SingTel physical shop does not support SingTel hi! Postpaid plans last time I asked them. But again you can try your luck. They do support SingTel hi! Prepaid plans.

The first thing you should do is to ask in the SingTel hi! App to see what is the suggestion from their side.

I inquired, and only one bot replied. It said that postpaid users should go to a Singtel shop to swap to a physical SIM card, and prepaid users should go to a Singtel shop or an authorized retailer to get a physical SIM replacement. However, the bot did not say anything about hi! postpaid.

I will say this is a good choice. Gomo S$6 Senior plan is a 5G plan. It should be much better than SingTel hi! 4G senior plan for local usage.

Personally I will not recommend SingTel hi! S$10/S$12 4G plan now they have S$13/S$15 5G plan.

Based on my own testing, the worst non-Simba 5G plans will be better than the best 4G plan for local usage.

I confirmed Hi 5G postpaid roaming speed are currently capped in Taiwan & Hong Kong; shows 5G but speed approx 10Mbps. I think the problem is I can't register to Chunghwa Telecom in Taiwan (listed as Singtel partner) so the speed is slow. Gomo also capped for me and don't even show 5G, only 4G in Taiwan and in Italy.
