- Local coverage: Hi 5G postpaid should be better
- Roaming: Both good coverage depending on the countries you want (however Hi seems to be limited to 10Mbps whereas Simba no such limit).
- Incoming Roaming calls: Simba good but Hi 5G postpaid cannot receive calls while overseas (could be good or bad)
- eSIM: Hi 5G postpaid unlimited use, can request replacement while overseas. Simba cost $5 (I think) and must personally visit outlet to replace.
Price: I think Simba is slightly cheaper

I personally tried both and I settled for Hi 5G postpaid (the roaming speed cap is still usable for me). Another problem I faced is Simba keeps randomly disconnecting for me; would suddenly lose connectivity (no signal bar). Also upon landing a new country Simba takes a while (>5 mins) to register to a network.
Like gapboy said there's no harm to try them out (Simba min. 2 mths cost whereas Hi just 1 mth cost to try).

Funny thing for me both Gomo & Hi 5G postpaid roaming stuck at 10Mbps 4G speed. Still usable but... Giga, Eight, Vivifi/Zym & Simba no such issue.
Wonder what contract or T&C did Singtel signed towards the roaming partners for Hi! and GOMO which had such weird limitation in speed yet other ST MVNO like Zym has no capped.

Maybe for certain locations only.

My brother is using Gomo and Gomo (China Mobile 5G NSA) was much faster than my eight (China Mobile 4G), SIMBA (China Telecom 4G) and CUniq (China Unicom 4G), during our short trip to China (South Fujian) in Dec 2025. Only my giga Travel eSIM (China Mobile 5G NSA) was comparable.

I have not used SingTel hi! for roaming yet.

Should port my dad number to thr 5 dollar senior plan seem worth

I will recommend Gomo S$6 5G Senior plan and not Singtel hi! S$5 4G Senior plan.

Based on my testing, the worst non-SIMBA 5G plan is better than the best 4G plans.

Gomo 5G Senior plan -- no contract

I jumped because the package and data was about the same coverage, but with a better network (especially underground) so quite a no brainer

Do research what u need to do before u jump to prevent issues like loss of access to your invoices etc. or burnt credits

Received SMS:

On 10 May, the SCDF will be testing the SG Alert system for national emergencies with Singtel's customers. Please ensure your phone's operating system is updated to the latest version so you can receive these important updates.

I am currently with Gomo, and want to go for their senior plan but called them and they said for new sign up/port in only.

Good update. Looks like similar to the SingTel S$6 5G Senior Plan (12 months contract) which is also only for new sign-up or port-in only.

You can always move to eight Senior plan for one month then port in to Gomo Senior plan if you are keen.
