Good update. Looks like similar to the SingTel S$6 5G Senior Plan (12 months contract) which is also only for new sign-up or port-in only.

You can always move to eight Senior plan for one month then port in to Gomo Senior plan if you are keen.
just not sure they will keep track of my number? If so, even port back also not eligible...

At least it's not singtel's own mvno. I just don't understand why Singtel undercutting gomo themself with Hi! and what comparative advantages GOMO has over Hi!

I am currently with Gomo, and want to go for their senior plan but called them and they said for new sign up/port in only.
if you're from GOMO going over to their Senior plan, isn't that considered a port-in ?

My FIL did a port-in from his Singtel line to Senior Hi! Plan
But didn't realise it's 4G only, so now looking to port over to GOMO's senior plan which has 5G+ for only additional $1/month

I'd call that a switch-over, coz you're already in. So can't port in.

AFAIK, only Simba and Eight allows switch-over to Senior plan. Good to know whenever there's more.

Same thing on Starhub with Eight vs Giga, M1 with maxx vs Circles (though circles may not be a direct full subsidiary).

The new/revamped subbrands (eight and Hi) are mainly directed at competing with SIMBA, and the cost of maintaining the old sub brands are pretty low, so there is little incentive to axe them. Especially for singtel, as they seem to be using the same app and CS for both postpaid Hi and GOMO.

PSA to all Singtel users.

There will be an alert testing at 12pm today. Please don't be shocked.

IMHO.
I imagine someone is in a situation of SGSecure Run Hide Tell, suddenly the mobile phone make some noise. GG.

No need to worry, those went to US, Japan, Taiwan or S.Korea before sure encounter their national wide alert system from disaster, mass casualty event, missing person. We are late to the game to only starting to use cell broadcast alert in testing phase at 2026.

Since they are doing a 'testing' idk why they cannot test using their own tester phone using st network first. Y need to bother the whole nation for what? For those uneducated elderly who cannot read it could cause unnecessary alert to them

This test is less to test the functionality of the system but for all stakeholders to do a full wet run. Also for the public to be familiarized with the system. Later oldies ignore the warning thinking it's a scam.

I will recommend Gomo S$6 5G Senior plan and not Singtel hi! S$5 4G Senior plan.

Based on my testing, the worst non-SIMBA 5G plan is better than the best 4G plans.

Gomo 5G Senior plan -- no contract

More senion plan options.

Interesting, mind elaborating your tests? Worse in which areas? Bandwidth, Signal Strength, etc? I'm going to help some of my relatives hop over to either gomo or singtel hi senior plans.

From what I'm reading, people are saying Singtel Hi is bandwidth capped at 10mbps, is this the same for Gomo's senior plan?
