Read On the IMDA website, can feedback to IMDA on this, lapse in quality of service .... But everyone has to chip in and do their own feedback..... The more ppl bring it up then It's a stronger case

How about a totally different approach and try out mesh system? Like Singtel airties Wi-Fi mesh for $10/mth for a pair, one of the more affordable option to go mesh

considering for now. backtracking the whole thread about it. not so sure if overkill since my place so small :) haha!

currently even living room with AC+ singtel router can hit 300-400M upload/300M download on wifi on a good day using ipx.

just want to maximize my 1gb plan with the space I have and thinking if getting a new router, like those mid range 3rd party can improve performance.

to add on, I don't have dead spots in my place. :s13:

Just re-contract and was given this.

Currently using Asus RT-AC87U.

How good is it cause it's still in the box.

Thanks for sharing your input Guys !

Tried hooking it up last weekend and it's really wasting of my time and revert back to my Asus instead.

Seems that Singtel TV GO can't seems to detect my STB.
Maybe the Singtel Wifi Gigabit Router AC Plus is a must to install?

But one thing I learned; Singtel TV GO can detect once I'm on Singtel Router.

Hi all,

Are the issues experienced on a Samsung device?

We realize that you may be using Samsung's Android devices that are recently upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo which is currently having some issues with Wi-Fi.

We are currently working closely with Samsung to fix the issue. In the meantime, please turn off and on WiFi on your Samsung device to solve the issue.

If your issue is not related to the above mentioned, do let us know and we will reach out to you via private message to follow up.

Thank you.

Used to serve me reasonably well in the past. But recent months, this router keeps on giving me intermittent auto no internet access via 5Ghz wifi despite just next to it / within line of sight.

Replaced router by technician previously also same. Finally gave up and switched to ASUS router. So far so good. Keep finger crossed. :s13: No more such issue. :)

This router is defective, intermittent issues. My relative is using it and i went over to help him troubleshoot, he had issue like yours too.. after tweaking here and there the speeds became normal but intermittently the issue returns.. i tried swap his network adapter and router, confirmed is the router issue.

Have the same issue too, the mobile phone Wi-Fi (5Ghz) frequently loses connection and reconnect awhile later.

Singtel - if you are reading this, please confirm and acknowledge the router is an issue and if another model will be rolling out soon, not AC Elite, AC Plus or AC 1900. Please advise.

I want to upgrade my router too coz this is lousy. keeps DC me on 5GHz.

what router is good and stable? and can just replace its connection direct to ONT? Thanks

Yes. The latest encountering was while using Samsung Note8 with latest firmware. And literally have to keep on turning on and turning off whenever encountered the auto disconnection. Not practical solution especially when doing online shopping and transaction. Would be a nightmare when bank transaction halfway and got disconnection.

However, previously also encountering same issue on other gadgets including my other gadgets not running Oreo. Technician came to change the router previously and had to enable / disable band steering.

Anyway disappointed with this router. Convinced me enough is enough. Am glad to go buy and use own router and the signal coverage is so much better too. No auto disconnection on all my gadgets including Samsung Note8 running on latest firmware.

Previously I had encountered auto no internet connectivity despite line on sight. Happened to my non Samsung gadgets. Have to enable disable band steering that time... Perhaps only happened only to my case...

Anyway if those not having any issues with this router, then very good. Last time also served me well until these issues (for my case)...

Thank you for the link.

Happens to all wireless device.

2.4GHz speed can become very slow despite full reception, 1-3mbps.. intermittent issue.

5Ghz, always getting disconnected

Have data to show if you are interested.

Dealing with wifi performance, maybe you can state your device and the wifi settings you have?

A Samsung Connections Member. Posted with Samsung Galaxy S9+ HardwareZone Forums app

The new router my relative is using is the Singtel AC Plus, before he swap to this newer router no issue.

Near range indicate beside router.

Near Range 2.4GHz, 20mbps..
Near Range 5GHz no issue
Ethernet no issue.

Mid Range full signal 2.4GHz, speed 70% of time <5mbps on wireless, quite ridiculous. Before he got 40-80mbps.

Mid Range 5GHz signal poor and unusable plus cut off. before that 70% signal no issues.

Tested many wireless adapter and device.
Confirmed Router or firmware has issue as can see many other user also have issue.

Hi,

I'm glad that i read this, didn't really want to go through all the triage your engineers have if it's a known issue.
For Samsung devices with android 8.0 Oreo firmware, I'm experiencing no connectivity upon idle for a certain time on 2 devices (the WiFi icon will still show connected, occasionally with an exclaimation mark). Also the band steering between 2.4 and 5ghz is choppy and intermittent on all mobile devices utilizing WiFi. Is there any SLA for the fix between Singtel and Samsung? Or any alternatives say I can change for another router if it incur additional charges or sort as the connection stability is really disruptive.
