only got a few options

either use the cpap or exercise

i tried 1 mth trial cpap, mask affected my sleep quality, so now no cpap.
doctor ask me to exercise and 1 yr later sleep test again

surgery is another option, but who wants to go surgery for this.

Was having issue with my Smartwatch not tracking my sleep... Samsung replaced almost every part of the watch and still not tracking my sleep...

In the end, I gotten my GP to refer me to ENT because always doze off after meal unknowingly and always feeling tired...

ENT nasal scope me then say likely I have sleep apnea... Asked me whether I wanna wait for sleep test which need to wait for 6 months (insurance claimable) or ambulatory sleep test (Non claimable) which can bring the equipment home to test...

Diagnosed with Severe OSA.

Bought Resmed AirSense11 from local distributor, about $2.4k and another $300 for masks and accessories from Overseas CPAP seller...

Actually I have experience now to import CPAP stuff for personal use, my next machine could be a refurb unit from overseas...

I bought my 1st machine local because I don't know what I am expecting... so have some local support would be better.... Now I roughly know how to see my charts and tune my machine to lower my AHI... CPAP life should be easier now...

cost for the trial is the mask cost which I had to purchase. $270 for a f40 mask. my follow up is in late July.

then the doctor will assess my usage and decide if I'm eligible for the subsidy.

but from what I heard from the vendor, the subsidy can lower the cost of the resmed airsense 10 around 40-50% from the original price of close to 2k.

U mean there's subsidy in SG?

Any idea what scheme is it?

As you grow old, the muscles will become weaker and make you more prone to sleep apnea. Even if you are skinny....

no idea. i just went poly, refer to ktph then do the home sleep test and then the cpap trial from vendor. and they informed me if i fulfil certain hours during the cpap trial, i can get a subsidy on the machine.

I see.... I only used the trial for 3 days... I return the trial device and straight buy my own device.

They never share with me anything about subsidy or insurance claimable.... Only the sleep test in hospital and nasal scope can be claimed.... Rest are all self paid...

i never do sleep test in hospital, so my tests so far all self paid too.

Same.... I opt for the home test which cost $3xx to bring the ambulatory sleep gadget home to test... No need to wait so long...

Got the following info on CPAP machine subsidy from hospital:

1. Usage of loan CPAP machine from hospital must be at least 70% within 30 days, i.e. 21 days with at least 4 hours per night, to qualify for the subsidy.

2. Subsidy is only for Resmed Airsense 10.

3. Amount of subsidy depends on household income with maximum at 30%.

I already bought my machine ytd... below 600 after subsidy... nurse told me it will be depending on total household income will vary the amt of subsidy... yes the trial u have to clock 70% compliance rate in order to have subsidy... tis is where i got a fustration with them... TLDR...


one week thru the trial den they realise my machine kind of not capturing the data due to some technical issue or fault.. vendor coordinator was kind to help me to use for extra days to compensate for the lost days... eventually when come 27th june when i supposed to return the unit to them they dropped the bomb.. when i was at their svc center at tpy, lady came out with the report n only to found out my compliance rate only at 67% so i ask the lady attend to me so wat now? can i say i wasted time to come down? if we are able to noe the compliance rate is not hit i wont have gone down tat day... after my grumble they agreed to pickup from me after another day of use according to them will be sufficient... den until my appt with the doc ytd the machine was still my hse only to be collected away today... ytd when doing the purchase of the device i again grumble on their lvl of after sales to the vendor coordinator hope they will buckup...

ya vendor blur one. told me cycle 12am-12am end up I trial and error is 10am-10am.

because of this, I kena 3 days gg

so I hard-core use the rest of the days.
