Clean install as on u do a fresh delete al data and updated iOS 11 and a restore back your data ?

Yes, I erase the phone and set it up as a new device. I do not restore any data from backups. All apps are downloaded again from the App Store, and files are downloaded from cloud storage, i.e. Dropbox. This way, any issues are avoided.

Those who scare the battery drain issue can hold your update till iOS 11.1 is release, stay on your 10.3.3 will be a better choice for those haven’t upgrade. iOS 11.1 is coming in one month time, just in time for iPhone X.

Apple will be fixing the weird sound for iPhone 8 series (maybe iOS 11.0.2) since one month abit too long. iMessage on iCloud, Apple Pay in iMessage and enabled fast wireless charging will be coming in the future sw update (should be in iOS11.1)

Apple will be bringing back 3D Touch multitasking from the left in future (3D Touch enabled iPhones except iPhone X)

Yes, it takes work and time, and this method is not for everyone. But after a year of putting these devices through heavy use, it's probably time to start fresh.

I am on iOS 11.1 and it is so much better. Battery life doesn't drop as much in a short time too.

How did you get to be in 11.1? Need to register to use?

These naggy bugs were already present in iOS 10. Same as iOS 11, shipped to us with tons of minor bugs. Although these bugs don’t break the experience, it is still annoying to know that it’s there and can happen anytime.

Now I need to be cautious when renaming my folder by 3D touching. If I accidentally clicked all the way into the folder when the 3D Touch is pressed then the home screen doesn’t respond to press and swipes.

That shouldn’t be a solution actually. Years of data like messages will not be there.

I know is sort of an app problem. But what’s the point of rushing out an iOS with crashing apps issue. And we aren’t talking about android where such issues are not uncommon (at least for my old past experience... now I not sure).

In the past at least me... didn’t experience any apps issue in any newer iOS updates. Oh well... nvm.

jus curious, imessage icloud sync, what is the purpose?

meaning if i dun on the text forwarding message function in iphone, the same message will appear in all my devices (ipad, iphone, apple watch, mbp)?

I discover that while in sms after trying n inputting the tel no I just cannot press the arrow button to send my message. I had to tap on the tel no after typing my msg in order to send my msg. And yes FB auto crash.

Not only that when I am typing my keyboard will overlap my message.

More often than not, it's up to the developer to fix these crashes, not Apple. That's what the developer betas was for, it was meant for the developers to smooth out any issues they have and get ready for iOS 11.

Read a message on your iPhone? It's now read considered read on your Macbook the next time it connects to the Internet. No longer will you receive a flood of messages.

Text forwarding messages is meant for SMSes. But I suppose it'll most likely be synced and backed up as well.

That is kinda incorrect, in fact it should save you space.
Instead of backing up the same instance of messages across all your devices, it'll should only save 1 copy of it. Since all devices should have the messages in sync.
