ya i find this "lag" quite irritating
haha need to wait to feel vibration on AW then can swipe up
Mine has no lag leh. But as expected, the unlock with AW works only to unlock the phone only. Other apps requiring FaceID like email or SingPass, you still have a problem.

Will be very disappointed if in the next iphone there is no finger print scanner. IMO they should never have removed it. If android phones can have face & finger print scanner why not apple?

Basically unless we are wearing our watch 24/7 once we take out it will be locked. So when we wear it back again we have to unlock the phone or watch for the first time using passcode etc before we can unlock our phone with the watch. So in a way for the first time it is still the usual way of unlocking our phone

A somewhat slipshod piece meal solution which makes me suspect the fingerprint reader on iphone may not be a reality any time soon which really sucks! Might seriously consider switching to Android if that’s really the case.

Only Apple can implement such an innovative solution to the mask issue, yet some people can still suan. Sigh...

I’m not a fan boy for the sake of being a fan boy & blindly support.

AW unlock is not a solution, its an attempt to “encourage” ppl to buy AW. Even then it only unlocks the phone not apps. So its like bringing your gate keys but forgetting your door keys.

Face & fingerprint scan have existed since Samsung Note 7 though its face scanner was crap TBH.

All im saying is if apple is on the cutting edge & a game changer like it used to be, then why not keep up with times?

The technology for dual scanner is there & its there for a while now.

Actually if the 13 don’t have fingerprint, I’ll switch also. This mask situation will probably last a while. Face scanning is really a great inconvenience.

Just realised if ur in an area with a lot of electronic interferences. The Apple Watch unlock will not work. Basically disconnects from your phone.
Had to restart my phone to get it connected to the watch again

11 pro max user here. Battery life definitely took a hit for me.
Your battery might be going through calibration so battery life take a hit during calibration. This is a new feature in iOS 14.5 for iPhone 11.

It was already said in the first place that your iPhone will be able to unlock with your Apple Watch when wearing a mask. So definitely Apple Watch is needed for this to work.
