Hmmm from the AW if I swipe up the control Center and tap wifi off, I still can use the unlock iPhone feature like what u mentioned. But if I toggle off from the actual wifi settings then I can’t unlock the iPhone . Ha ha it’s okay la so long as it works regardless with wifi on or off =)WiFi switched on on the iPhone yes, but wifi on the watch no need. If you said wifi required to unlock phone with watch is correct, but I can unlock my phone with the wifi turned off on the watch.

This happened the following morning of updating both my iPhone and watch to the iOS versions. I had to unpair my watch and then pair it again. After that, there were no connections dropped and unlocking with the watch became second nature for me. 19/20 times success rate.Just realised if ur in an area with a lot of electronic interferences. The Apple Watch unlock will not work. Basically disconnects from your phone.
Had to restart my phone to get it connected to the watch again
Will the battery life improve after recalibration? Assuming the calibration process is successful. I do face a noticeable drain as well. Also, roughly how many weeks will the process take?Your battery might be going through calibration so battery life take a hit during calibration. This is a new feature in iOS 14.5 for iPhone 11.
I wouldn’t say an innovative solution. Took them quite long to be honest haha. But I see this feature as a big “thank you” from Apple to us who are committed to the ecosystem.Only Apple can implement such an innovative solution to the mask issue, yet some people can still suan. Sigh...
Actually Android had the bluetooth "trusted device" to unlock phone and I had been using it for quite long. If Apple can allowed any bluetooth device, eg TWS to add as trusted device, no need for apple watch.Only Apple can implement such an innovative solution to the mask issue, yet some people can still suan. Sigh...
