Wi-Fi is really bad. Have to keep resetting network settings to make it work fast enough. Apple really screwed up with iOS 8.

After restarting my router and giving my iPhone 6 2 full recharges I'm glad wifi speed is back to normal or even slightly faster. Battery back to how it was before

Very soon it'll go down again. Did that before I thought everything ok next day still... Sigh :(

Yup. It will work fine for a few hours after you reset your network settings. Then it will slow down again. The problem is iOS related, given that previous phones like 4s and iPads which had no Wi-Fi issues began to have Wi-Fi issues.

That's why I have yet to call apple. But probably will be calling them soon

You call them, how are they able to help you? The most they tell you to wait for 8.1.1. If not then suck thumb

At least one more person to let them know that 8.1 did not fix the Wi-Fi problem.

Anyway I was reading the other forums and someone suggested changing the router to 20mhz from 40mhz. I did it last night and it is still quite smooth this far. Will monitor further.

Wifi issue has been plugging my 5S since iOS 8 but after updating to iOS 8.1, the issue has been resolved. Connected to my 5Ghz network and it's working flawlessly.

My iPhone 6 Plus has not been issuing any wifi issue since iOS 8. In fact, iOS 8.1 made my wifi better.

Unfortunately I am on 6plus and still facing this. Have done 2 things which seemed to help thus far, asked viewqwest to update the firmware for zhone and set to 20mhz instead of 40mhz.

If it doesn't work, I will then try connecting via time capsule which uses 5ghz network as you suggested.

My iPhone 6 | 16 GB keep crashing with either blue/red screen. then it will restart after updating to iOS 8.1. I tried restarting, hard reset, restoring but the problem still exist and its getting frequent. :C

Anyone has the same problem? Is it due to hardware issues or iOS8.1?

it sounds like a hardware problem but u can try checking e logs. might have some clues there.

Settings > Privacy > Diagnostics & Usage > Diagnostic & Usage Data

Not sure what's the error about but I see all my errors they only have 3 types.

- double-bit error detected in ECC
- the faulting frame may be missing in backtrace
- LSU error (L2C-double-bit-ECC)

So they are all hardware issues? I guess I have to go to the service centre already.
