8.0.2 solved the problem of my phone not being able to remember common wifi networks such as my home and my office. Scared to upgrade to 8.1 in case it screws it up again. :o

Force close the settings app and go in again to check? Tried

How about plugging to iTunes to check? Tried and shows 8.0.2 only have update or restore option

Have you declined any updates previously? nope also never downloaded any always stayed on 8.0 since i bought my phone

Check under usage / storage, see if any old updates are dumped there? checked nope also

Thanks for your help though :)

Just update to iOS 8.1. You will be glad that you do that.

Can I confirm did anyone went with this route?

Existing ipad/iphone on ios 7.1.2... did full backup

Use this full backup to restore to NEW ipad/iphone that is on ios 8.1.

I believe it is possible but would like check if anyone successfully upgrade their device through this way. Thank you!

Apparently the safari auto reload "bug" still there. Just experience it.

the reload is there which I assume due to lack of ram and no 'cache' feature..but what bothers me is the spinning animation icon when all is loaded.
