Dinner! We went to the supermarket, and the French backpackers made omelette!

solo trip for a girl

not scared meh?

I have been traveling alone for the last 16 years. Worked in Taipei and studied in Brisbane. There's nothing to be scared of actually. I was scared though, not becos I'm alone but more of the language and environment.

I'll be in Germany mid Sep! Mannheim and Frankfurt are confirmed. Munich in the plans!
If you are going to visit Munich during Oktoberfest, let me know and let's meet up for drinks! But gotta book accomodations early as they are running out.

Oktoberfest starts 22 Sep and I'm leaving on 23 Sep from Frankfurt so it's quite tricky. I won't be alone then. Lodging is probably taken care of already. I don't have the details yet though. I may give Oktoberfest a miss.

I see. That would be tough then. Maybe next time if opportunity knocks. :D

Will be in Munich from 22nd to 26th though. If your schedule fits, feel free to let me know.

Traveling by train is a great way to see how big a country is. I love overland travel as well as well and I can see the whole country go by. The experience to meet local people, backpackers and all sorts of wierd people who have not showered in months. :)

How difficult is it to travel by train in Mongolia and Russia?

I have a travel blog. But it's not updated yet cos I've only brought a tablet and not a laptop. Will update the blog probably in a couple of months when I return. Will be busy with new job.

Difficulty in terms of availability or language barrier?

I'm traveling at a rather off-peak period so I don't have problems getting tickets but in terms of locating the ticket offices and buying in Mongolian and Russian, yes, there's some difficulities!
