I have a travel blog. But it's not updated yet cos I've only brought a tablet and not a laptop. Will update the blog probably in a couple of months when I return. Will be busy with new job.
Do update, I'm sure it will be interesting :)

The Irkutsk to Moscow ticket

14must2.jpg

All train schedules in Russia run on the Moscow time. There's 5 time zones in Russia.

Train will depart at 21:29hrs Moscow time, which is 02:29hrs Irkutsk time.

Am carrying the Tatonka Flight Case, which is 40l.
I've been considering the Tatonka Flight Case too, may I ask for your opinion of it thus far? Haven't had a chance to handle the bag yet, so am not too sure of its construction and durability. Where'd you buy it and how much did it cost?

Many thanks for sharing your trip here with us. Have a safe and awesome journey!

Difficulty in terms of availability or language barrier?

I'm traveling at a rather off-peak period so I don't have problems getting tickets but in terms of locating the ticket offices and buying in Mongolian and Russian, yes, there's some difficulities!

I am sure being friendly and keeping a smile helps rather than looking like some axe murder. :)

It's a really good backpack! My cousin and friend who have seen it wanted to get it too. Bought it at Queensway. I don't have the name card with me. I bought the last piece. No stock currently. Bought it for S$145. It's retailing for S$196 at the department stores and the travel stores.

I have been traveling alone for the last 16 years. Worked in Taipei and studied in Brisbane. There's nothing to be scared of actually. I was scared though, not becos I'm alone but more of the language and environment.

Din noe u work in taipei before till u mention it. How long u been working in taipei? Dun mind me asking chiu working as? :(

The Russia visa is relatively easy to apply. No hassle.

Just buy the LOI. I got mine within 12 hours though they said 24 hours. Sent the passport with LOI to the embassy and got it 4 or 5 working days later.
