Songkran 2013!

Hey bro/sis,

Anyone going BKK during their songkran period 13-15 Apr 2013?

Just some question, will the malls/shopping places like ctc/bombae be open?

And the "playing of water" will be EVERYWHERE right?

Any suggestions for me and my friends? Staying at the Newly Opened "The
Heritage Hotels Sathorn", 10min away from Silom Station.

There are quite a few of us going during that period, maybe wait for them to report strenght here

To my best understanding, water war can be anywhere with main water war zones at Khao San and Silom. Central world area smaller scale zone.

I think this is bad time to go shopping as most shops will be closed cos of staffs going back hometowns. However, all night spots will be super happening during this period of time but I myself yet to try any

Most will be closed if not all, cos this is the period for the thai to go back to their home towns. One year once affair

Personally I like to be in Bangkok or Pataya during that time of the year. I mean it is way better and safer yet you get to see the difference between the city and the beach sangkoran. Love the festival at their new years...
