why use chrome to stream video when there's proper app?
so far my experience is fast and smooth

I need advice too as I just bought Sony tv. Chrome browsing experience is slow in general and I didn’t expect it to be of tablet, computer standard.

Streamline videos from websites is painful. Slow, laggy, set up ad blocker but no use.

When I use laptop on the same websites to load video...no issue. So my solution is to use hdmi from laptop to tv.

Smart TV not very smart after all. My friends claim Samsung web browsing is faster. Processor difference?

My Samsung ks9000 tv browser also slow , I think basically tv browser quite slow . I don’t use browser on my Sony w800c also , I use apk apps .
Korea drama You can download rss player and setup from there . U need to sideload the apps , not from Google playstore .

Actually android tv or just normal tv with a android tv box better ?

Android OS on TV - has to serve 2 major function:
~ TV hardware OS : Tuner selection, HDR decoding, video color compensation computation to match the LCD hardware, etc.
~ Platform to run Android app.

Different TV makers ends up own unique implementation, over as time there are 2 issues:
~ TV maker abandon OS upgrade support - stuck with old Android OS
~ Slow down in performance as app installed increase; sometimes so bad even impacts TV hardware.

So sooner or later you will need a new android tv box anyway, cheaper to replace box anyway.

Wld not put much consideration if TV OS is android or not; TV PQ shld be major primary factor to consider instead.

When TV maker abandon OS upgrade, user has to worry about security patch/fix too.

Actually i previously downloaded Phoneix OS to dual boot my pc.
Its an android platform (aka hp) on your pc/laptop.

Its kinda fun to play with it as u can also play games on it. :s22:
However, not all apps work with it. Have to trial & error.

Hi all, I’m using x8000e series tv. Anyone with the same tv able to use a wireless headphone to work with the TV? Seems like this model don’t have A2DP, can’t use Sony Bluetooth headphone at all :(
