Ohh.. Thank you very much for ur inputs. Was looking at NU7100 alsoI think you can look at samsung NU7100 (2018 model if they still have stock), Samsung RU7100 (2019 model) or LG UK6320 models if you want a 4K TV close to your said budget. From Sony, 4K TV at that price, unlikely unless there is a clearance sale or display set maybe?

But let's say if I were to up my budget to 1k. Any Sony models I should take note of?
And sorry on my low knowledge but I read that Samsung panel is better?
Sony u getting is becos of android TV?
Going to put in my bed room with wSony picture quality is a lot more better compare to NU7100. What size you looking for?
Going to put in my bed room with w
Viewing distance of 1-1.5m so looking at 43? My current one is like 55 n is too big!

Hmmm... Seems to me at least the X8 series then will have the X1 chip..Sony has better picture quality and better 4K upscaling for the 1k price point..
however for Sony, I dont think you're able to get the X1 chipset for that price point.
For around 1k, probably you'll be looking at the 49" X7000G (2019), X8000G (2019), or maybe the X8500F (2018 comes with X1 Chip) if you're able to stretch your budget alittle bit. The 49" X8500F seems to come with a VA panel instead of the IPS panel which has poor contrast ratio. So fora pan bedroom should be alright.
Wat model u got? Actually before I I got my TV I had a samsung smart TV but put in in the living room since the one in the living room is spoil.Even if you’re using Sony smart or android tv, you can still access to Toggle without using your phone to cast it. You can access to Toggle Red from tv so not a big deal that Toggle is in Samsung tv because even LG tv have Toggle too. Not important anyway.
In terms of picture quality, I will still go for Sony tv and since you already have Nvidia Shield then you should just go for basic Sony smart tv will do.
Anyway I’m using a Sony tv with Nvidia Shield. Both android haha. All good.
Nah dun really need toggle. More on streaming netflix n YouTube when watching anything since my previous plasma is not smart.Since you have Nvidia Shield TV, you do not really need Android TV like Sony. Nvidia Shield TV will beat all the smart TV out there in terms of app performance. The only thing missing from Nvidia Shield TV may be Dolby Vision support in general and Dolby Atmos support under Netflix. For that you can get smart TV Samsung where you also gain things like native Toggle support (you need to cast from mobile phone if you use Nvidia Shield TV or Sony Android TV).

Wanted to get a sony but just nice my fren had a plasma TV to give so I just get it from him
But no X1 chip rite?I’m using Sony 55S8500D. Actually there’s one model 55X7000F 2018 model now clearing as display set at $999 only.
But no X1 chip rite?
Eh... Is where clearing?
Hmmm... Seems to me at least the X8 series then will have the X1 chip..
Does the chip make that big diff? As in without the chip if getting might as well get other TV?
I think IPS panel for me will be better cos If I did not get it wrong, VA panel is the matte kind rite?
Yup TV for bed room. I dun think I have so much high quality content given YouTube n netflix n online streamingThe chip will be obvious when there is 1080 content or lower.
IPS for better viewing angle but poor contrast ratio. blacks seem grey if your room is dark. the TV is for bedroom right?
