Was wondering what is the diff between 8500 n 9500? Is there is 9000? How big the diff?

Big difference between the two, however consider your source.
If mainly youtube, download movies or streaming X8500 will do fine.
X9500 have better image as well as support for Dolby vision.

For X9500 to shine, recommend to play Blu ray titles with Dolby vision.
Consider your source first before deciding what to invest in.

Oh... OK unless Blue Ray TV if not its not worth the jump from 8500 to 9500 with the content I am play on my TV rite?

Yes, don't get me wrong you still can consider X9500G.
But if you want to shine, play blu ray disc movies will get the most of the out.

btw, both 8500F/G and 9500G have X1 chip. just that 8500F/G uses X1 chip and 9500G uses X1 Ultimate chip. Only 2018 top line Sony models uses X1 Extreme Chip.

to simplify things in term of power of the different chip:

X1 Chip < X1 Extreme Chip < X1 Ultimate Chip

if you have cash to spare, can go for the 9500G for future proofing, maybe in the long run you decide to watch 4K HDR content, at least you can do so. That is not saying that the 8500F/G cant do 4K HDR content. Its just that it doesn't look that great for HDR content on the 8500F/G

Yup. The chip in 9500g better than 8500g. But then 9500g dun have 49..only 55 and my room currently using a 50 which I feel cannot get any bigger if not it like sitting first row in the cinema.

But for 2018 F model I rmb 9000f or 9500f have 49 rite?

Yes 9500 is definitely better image. I think you should ask yourself if you are a person who pays attention to details?
In a movie, does a darker spot in a scene where you can see the items matters?
In concerts, when the spot light down you can still see the items matters?
In a food video, does the prawn where you can see a more defined red and white matters?

If all these don’t matter, get the lower end model.

Ask the salesman for a compare side by side. The 9500 really can see the details. But when you have no comparison at home, does these details matter to you?

there is no 9500F. The current 9500G replaces the Z9F of 2018.

the highest was the 9000F in 2018 for LCD FALD. for 49" i feel the 9000F was the best LCD you can get for the money at the moment. Even in 2019 I dont see any TV able to beat it overall (in the 49",50" category). If you're able to find any KD-49x9000F on the market, i would say it'll be a good investment.

if you're able to get x9000f, then go for it, since its cheaper than the x9500g. Quality not much difference for you to go WOW. Whereas the x8500f would be much of a difference compare to the rest.

Then again, if you're on a tight budget, go for x8500F/G since you'll be using it in the living room, presuming it will be a well lit.

Yes, FYI 4K TV recommend size above 50 than you can see difference.
Below that difference is subtle, that is why if you notice that
8500G.

If above 50 inch, the specs are different than those below.
Above 50 than Dolby vision is included.
X9000f have 49 inch but I don't think you can find that model
any more.
