just bought 65" W850C from best denki in Taka at $2899, $100 cheaper than the Sony day price. It seem best denki give better price. But no ready stock and need to wait.

I did also brought 40" W550C at $629, $20 cheaper. . but this promotion end today.

Price in US can be as low as 50% cheaper in Singapore. The 2014 70 inch W850C is selling less than SG $1800 and it cost $3899 here.

The only worth buying 2015 tv is the 75 x850c. Sg is about $500 more than the US.

2015 model is 65w850c. Another model 75w850c , sony sg not bringing in.

This is comparing apples to oranges. The Sony one you mentioned is Full HD while the LG one is 4k.

If you want to be future ready then get 4k tv if not FHD will suffice for next few years at least.

If your idea is to get a 4k tv, then the 2014 model 65X8500b should be considered over 70W850b. And in terms of quality maybe Sony is better than LG

All the new Sony 4k TV is having active 3D , so if you want passive 3D only can buy the old model X8500B series....if they clear stock for the X8500B at lower price than is still a very good buy.

If I were u , I will not choose the 70W850B which is very much overpriced here. It is selling less than SG$2000 in US and even about $2.5k in Australia. It made me feel cheated that the retailer has mark up a lot here。i will rather top up to about $4500 for the 4k 65inch for the X8500B after discount. As u know, the latest 2015 x850C is launching soon. So either they slashed the x850b lower or getting out of stock soon.

I just saw it yesterday at Courts Causeway Point selling at $4499. Mustafa also has it at $4499. Harvey Norman Jurong Point has it at $4699 and they give a foot ball. Best Denki Bishan has it too but forgot the price.

65x8500c is being launched soon so many places are clearing them out.

If you want to aim for bigger size, best denki is selling 70x8500b at $5799.
