Generally most items in US r cheaper than SG (really lot cheaper) as long u know u getting the cheapest price in SG should be happy. $2799 for a latest sony 65 FHD is quite a gd deal.

Never nevr think of these crazy ideal especially at current exchange rate.
Also, USA set does not support DVBT2 for Singapore.

The x8500B is selling about $4899 and $5799 for 65 and 70 inch if u can still get it. The price is the "open" listed offer from best denki. U can actually negotiate lower at least $200 lower.

With the coming 2015 x8500c. The price of 65 is $4900++ after apply the discount code. The 2015 model is much lighter. The 75 inch x8500c is even lighter at 36kg compare to the 70 x8500 where it weight 43kg.

Best denki IMM selling 65" X8500B for $4299
Anywhere cheaper?

Personally I like Sony tv since the old CRT day. All my family members who bought Sony lcd tv more than 5 years ago r still using it till now. Me already on 7 years.

If best denki imm listed the price openly as $4299.it mean it still have room for price negotiation.

I have a Sony too. For large Sonys, do keep a look out for the vignetting effect.

I'm thinking to get Sony KDL-50W800C, it's an android TV.
But, will only launch mid of June. Wondering which Sony centre has a display??
800hz refresh rate which is better than 200hz according to my friend.

Do you guys think Sony Android TV really better than any other brands android tvs such as Samsung , LG .. and etc?

I think you are mistaken. Only Sony and Toshiba have android TVs. Samsung's version is their own inhouse system called Tizen while LG's version is Web OS and they bought the licence to use it from HP.

So do you mean to say better in terms of the smart functions or better in terms of other features?

Some info on their new series of TVs if you've not gotten accustomed to them:-

And Piranacon is right; everybody has a Smart TV feature. Sony uses the Google Android TV platform, while the rest have their own as mentioned.

Just like other TV. 800Hz is software only. The panel is 200Hz type.
I last saw it at Best Denki Taka. Pre order only. Andriod interface is very good. However picture quality is so so only.
