The remote model is RMT-TX100P. Not the one above.

I read from Sony uk support and it seem they r unable to record too and awaiting for new firmware to support this.

The big difference is that in UK/AU/NZ, these Sony Android TV models are marketed with USB recording - while in SG, they are not... :(

The UK remote which has the REC button is model RMT-TX100D.

This feature will be available via a firmware update within 2015. NOTE: HDD recording (REC) and Satellite features are not available if YouView functionality is enabled. YouView on Sony TVs will offer consumers a consistent and easy to use YouView experience, including scroll back, search, discover and catch up TV (BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, All 4 and Demand 5). YouView functionality includes access to all the normal free-to-air channels via the YouView guide and mini guide.

This type is trap right? U sign installment

Wait u call for C.C wavive they say
Cannot.... then u lanlan have to pay annual fee

If u unable to waive off the annual fee. All u need to do is to pay off the remaining amount of installment.

Most CC give 2 to 3 years free annual fee waiver anyway. I find it strange that people do feel skeptical by paying cc installment

Yes. After some "research" . I find out the remote control given to Aus/NZ model is different from SG. Record button is there. I was confused and thought our local SG model has this feature as the menu from the box show it has this feature. Then I realised the remote control in the menu is different from what we have received.

This time round, Sony tv is quite decent priced.
My mid range 4k 75inch is less than $6400 with free gifts plus wall mounted.
Look at all the 75 inch above tv from LG and samsung, example those 77 to 79 inch. are selling closed to min 7k to 10k.even more for the curve!!

I am pondering which one should i get
Sony - KD55X8500C ($2750)
LG - 55UF850T ($2690).

Ha! LG does offer free 32 TV + blue ray player. Hmm...

I am considering the same + maybe the W850C which is not 4K but 65"...decisions....to go 4K or not for the smaller screen size...

How much u get.... I see now like 2750

Maybe can get $100 voucher if u got maybank cc, but must sign installment..... comex dunno got lobang or not

Yah, I got at at that price.

Can also try signing up for Amex True Cashback card - get 5% back for first 3 months for first $5k spending.

Comex flyer looks the same as current Sony islandwide promo - but there's a Comex special logo next to the prices - perhaps additional free gift?
