May I know, if I need a 48" TV, that is to work with the DVB T2, and and Android media box, do the "Full HD Internet TV" range and the the "Basic" range make any difference to me? No playing game, just to watch TV, movies, ect.

1) What are the native resolution of your contents?
Are they in 1080p HD?
2) What is your prefer TV size according to the place
or room you want to install.

Your source resolution is very important, if they are not
in 1080p than even a HD ready TV is sufficient.
You don't wish to buy a TV but end up with poor image
or bloated pixel due to your source not TV.

Basic range can meet your needs just whether you are okay with the quality of the screen n panel

Yes...best resolution for MediaCorp on DVB T2 now is 1080i.

Are there some affordable out there so your options
are pretty wide cuz you can consider both HD ready
and Full HD.
Difference is that HD ready TV only supports 720p which
in your case is sufficient whereas Full HD is 1080p
is more for future proofing.

Don't need 3D so looking at either X8000C or X8300C in 49" ... anyone can advise if it is worth paying the additional $300 or so?

Also, I remember the famous shop in the West Coast area used to offer 5 years warranty while everyone else only gave 3 years ... any idea if they still give 5 years?

the playstore has very limited apps. tried KODI and the streaming quite slow.

Anyone can intro any sideload apk apps?

The main reason that I do not want a Android TV now. I feel that it is still not mature yet. I would rather use a good Android TV box, can do so much more with it.

It's new kinda experience to watch tv.
Don't really depends on local channels nowadays except local news.

there wasn't much 4k on Netflix. however x8500c work well with netflix.

I reg and install netflix on my iPad. reach home start up my tv and the Netflix icon is there on the homepage. login and test out a 4k clip. smooth as silk.

Been waiting this netflix app also, previously sideloaded the netflix apk but doesnt seem to work with my dns tunnel. Now the official netflix app works well for netflix US, in 4K as well, just need to change use wired instead of wireless
