The diff btn C and D are HDR support. Again there wasnt much HDR content available but hopefully 850c will have it price further reduce.

Sony has promised the current x8500c do have HDR support thru firmware update although the hardware does not have full array local dimming.

I do expect price drop for for x850c model but it wont be that much.

In Australia. The price of 75 inch x8500c has drop to $3600 . 65 inch at $2500.

Netflix are planning to release HDR content this year. Hopefully we get an update in firmware before content release. More importantly...compatibility too.

43W800C I can't comment. As for 8500C, no complain. If you are using ext antenna remember not to place it near your router. I got a shock during delivery when not a single channel was picked up. Got 100% reception and quality after I relocate the antenna.

Coming from a 42" sharp...the 55" only look big for 1-2 day. Now like...abit small.

Anyway you can try checking the price from Ever Joint ele. Shop AMK. Completely forgotton about this shop until tv was delivered.

43 or 50 depend on space and viewing distance. if chiu have some distance in btn and got the space...then 50 is always better.

performance of android TV on Sony

Hi,
Personally like Sony TV(always has better use experience comparing to other brands that i ever owned), read through the thread but could not find answer on the Android TV loaded on Sony TV.

I am familiar with Android TV platform ,having 2 Android TV box,Nexus Player and nVidia Shield. nVidia Shield is definitely the better performance one.

Questions
1) How much storage left behind for app installation
2) RAM capacity.
3) Performance
in relative comparison, does it run better than like Google Nexus Player ? Or comparing it to an Android Phone, around which performance range like?

Android TV platform ,to be frank it is not mature and not as flexible comparing to those China Android box that load standard android (support touch/mouse click/ leanback(navigation keys only) however for paid app and google stuff and software stability , Android TV is 10x better.

keen on a 50"(for bed room,no need so big ) 4k model .

Media Category
1) CartoonHD app, not available on play store.Super smooth streaming on latest movies..,need to use mouse/touchpad
2) MoviesHD, same features set as above
3) MX Player..to associate custom play with above 2 apps, this player allows online subtitle support

4) Hot Drama 2, HK drama in cantonese..

5) Kodi- big monster, available on Android TV play store
-> dont suggest to use if the Android TV has weak processing power and with limited internal storage ( it required around 600-800MB local storage)

6) ES File Manager -available on android TV play store
this helps to transfer apk/files to the TV box with ease, can connect to cloud storage too..super useful tool

Sony X8500C

Hi, I'm planning to get 65X8500C within this week. I've shortlisted this models with LG 65UF860T and still scratching my head over this 2 model. Can I have some genuine comments from all the bro and sis here?

**I'm favoring Sony as I've been using Sony for so many years and it never failed me. Was tempted to LG because of the lower price and better picture quality (I think).

For Sony Android TV user, is the auto restart issue fixed?
