very conflicted about this; because...besides the new Sony TVs released this year, are there any other manufacturers using the AndroidTV platform?

....

There is one already, but the last post was around end July.

Anyway, the posts in this thread are mostly related to the Android platform. Is this thread for Sony Android tv? Asked TS:

I am not sure because TS never stated his intention when he started this thread. He only reproduced the promotional materials from Sony website which included non-Android tvs. Nothing else.

So i called up the support regarding my one flick remote... ask me to do this do that....switch off tv not enough, must unplug some more.

In the end, told me there is a software update tomorrow that will solve some bluetooth issue.

Even got update should be able to pair the remote to the TV right if the remote is working ?? I asked if other people are having the same issue with the one flick , she said yes.

I saw this deal during end july.so not so sure now. TV is like smart phone. Price drop as time goes by.

The differences between B and C r the former is 2014 model and C is latest 2015 model that launched in end June. Weight also lighter for 2015 model and smart tv is running android platform. C model also using latest 4k x1 processor chip. Better upscale.

For me, I will get the C series. Cheaper ,lighter and latest processor

Do take note the 3d function for C series is active (Batteries 3D Glasses) , B series r using passive 3d for both 55 and 65 inch.

I assumed if u r getting the C series 55 inch ,take note it is using edge lit backlight whereas the bigger bro 65 and 75 are using direct lit backlight.

Forget it, unless you want to use it only for other purposes than watching tv programmes. Different transmission systems in us - not compatible to Sg system.

I believe this update is avaliable on the US.
