Let me help you decide - Screenshot from my M4's storage:

As you can see, this is after I've moved almost all my movable apps to SD card. I left just 1 app in phone storage (80+MB).

The OS itself takes up more than half the phone storage.

I think this phone is depends on your usage. For me I don't play graphic intensive games like Asphalt, etc. Those takes up Gigs of space.

If you're like me who play casual games, you'll be fine. also, have a look if those games/apps you play can be moved to SD card.

All the best!

1 of the reasons tat lollipop support move2SD

No, some apps takes a few GBs space and cannot be moved to SD card.

I would rather wait for the dual sim card version with 16GB memory storage.

2 brands, $29.90 and $19.90, and also 1 matte screen protector for 9.90 (don't buy).

I bought the $19.90 tempered glass from Sony NEX.

I wish there is a tempered glass for the back of the phone too... so can feel the cool glass when holding.

Games from Square Enix.
Lots of big sized games. :D

Quite unwise to play graphic intensive games using this phone. it gets hot easily and though it has Adreno 405, it's not as smooth as expected for those games with heavy graphics.

That said, you better stick to tablets if you want to play graphic intensive games. Casual games are fine. You may want to choose Z3 Compact or Z3 instead of this phone if you're in to those games.

It's quite unfair and sad to bash the M4 for being crippled. I think it's a true midrange phone where it can handle 80% of an average user's usage. For that price and specs, it's really a crowd pleaser. Though I admit I would have loved 16GB space, 8GB (1.2GB after installing all my apps) of space is sufficient for my personal use

On the contrary, some of the games I mentioned are final fantasy series which are built on hardware of last generations.
The big file sizes are mostly FMV which does not require high performance of the latest flagships.

Similar to M4, my T2 is also having 8GB storage and cannot afford much big sized apps.
But does not have much problems running FF games, and temperature readings rarely hit 39c unless I do the combo of Youtube + charging.

It is good that you do not use much spaces, but for others I would still recommend minimum 16GB.

It is not exactly crippled, but it is bad decision to separate 8GB for single SIM and 16GB for dual SIM version.
Anyhow, it was also initially announced as 16GB storage.

Just wait for the dual SIM to be released with 16GB. :D

Does Sony Nex have cases too or just tempered glass? Thanks.

Couldn't get them at the shops near my place :(
