I was watching Juan Bagnell youtube video and read some of his comments . HE mentioned using main sensor as macro (zoom up to 2 times ) which is also making sense because the sensor produces more vibrant colors and is faster. You can shoot from closer distance too ! Plus his sample shots also did not lose much quality !
Makes sense, the main sensor is a 48MP camera, but the software locks you out of the full resolution and you can only get the binned 12MP image. So when you zoom, you still get more than 1:1 pixel. So in good lighting, doesn't hurt to digitally zoom in with the main cam. Probably will only see a difference in lower lighting conditions.

I was wondering how come my fingers keep touching the telephoto when using my 1V where I didn't have this problem on my 5II. Put them side by side to compare, the 5II camera module looks like toy in comparison 🤣

Up to the mkIII, the 1 and 5 all same cameras mah, just with the extra iTOF.

Was going to say the 5V going to look rediculous assuming it gets the same camera setup, but the size actually not much difference.

Any feedback on the Sony stand case? I read a comment on Reddit saying it's bad.
It's not fully covered but if you don't mind exposing part of your xperia it should be good. I like it exposing the shutter button because I like the feel of the gradients ( 5IV shutter button don't have the texture). The mini bump behind made the phone more camera like because it's a grip smooth rubberized-like design . Plus the stand.

I actually have the kickstand cases for 1 ii and III as well, so coming from those I would say it's an improvement. Feels somewhat more stable. Older kickstands open the other direction so sometimes table move a bit the kickstand collapse. Also used to the open sides of the older two cases and in fact this one covers more of the sides than the older cases.

From sony site it state esim. But availability may vary according to the superscript point 8. The best bet is to call sony directly and query :LOL::LOL:

I think sg variant is dual sim only. Because from what I know esim and dual sim are mutually exclusive. So it's either phone supports one sim and an esim, or two sims. There is no functionality to switch between both, and in theory supporting dual sim plus esim would have required 3 IMEI numbers which we clearly don't have.
