Finally collected after 3 weeks! -That's more down time than I've actually used it!
Initially when the technician called to update, I asked if I could get a one-to-one exchange since it has been sooo long but nope. Service report shows 8 replaced parts including USB, speaker, battery and motherboard itself. The rest is some adhesive. IMEI changed to 5229 from 3829.
When I asked the 313 counter, there's no additional warranty, unlike Toader's replacement.
What a terrible first-time experience with Sony phone, but the staff are all good albeit following standard scripts.

Just when I start to daily drive it again, noticed there's a 'loose' sound coming from the zoom lens when rotating the phone -_- Anyone can confirm if the same on your sample (without activating the camera app)?

You shake the phone there sure will have the Lens sound. It's normal. Unless your zoom does not work like it's intended.

Welcome and hope you like the new phone! 😊😊

phew~ that's a relief i guess? no need to visit 313 again. Shows how little time I had with it.
Everything else is good including all 3 cameras+zoom, time to daily drive my dissected VII. Cheers.

Which color you bought?

BTW here are some artistic day moon shots.

7.1x

21.3x Full auto.

3.5x. Saw a few crows fly near the direction then no time just point and shoot hoping to catch an opportunistic shot...

black.

oh i'm not talking about shake, just a simple rotate of the phone left/right
Safe colour.

IF you rotate quite fast you can still hear the camera Lens sound.. you got try out all the Lens and the zooming functions? If it zooms well it shouldn't be issue.

Sony has tried innovating. The Xperiaβ€―1β€―VII arrived as a showcase of high-end optics, premium audio, and flagship-tier specs. Yet, insiders warn the strategy feels like "selling midrange hardware at flagship prices," failing to justify the steep costs.

Even so, the CFO’s remarks seem to have struck a chord with Xperia diehards. The notion that Sony intends to "keep Xperia going" stirred relief across forums and fan groups. Online, some fans praised the move, saying, "at least they’re not giving up."
