Those of you on M1, how's your 5G connectivity?

I just changed my SIM card to a 5G one, I'm still getting only 4G mostly at home (Toa Payoh area) and occasionally it switches to 4G+, wth?? I've not seen 5G indicated on my phone so far..

M1 5G not supported.. same reason why i moved to starhub..

M1 supports only the listed models. Starhub unofficially supports all

It works. But M1 5g is only available at main road areas. You go deeper into residential blocks will fall back to 4g. Also the occasional change base station full signal strength no internet need to airplane mode and back to restore connectivity. To me 5G not really a game changer.

5g works on main road area, working in river valley area, in office tower all 4G, go out only 5g comes on. 5g very bad in certain areas for me for eg Woodlands. Sometimes on main road no 5G, i have to restart phone and then 5g comes back.

6G coming yet 5G still not properly working..

TOH la
All telcos like to claim islandwide availability to meet IMDA's requirements. But what that simply entails is testing in areas like main roads and MRTs only, not indoors. Will unfortunately need a few more years before your indoor base stations get slowly swapped to 5g ones.

Erm not me... no idea of flashing and what's the difference?

I'm using the hk set xperia iv, I do get volte and 5g showing on single but NR NSA...

One of the con is Netflix, I can't get it to work with better resolution. It's shows l3 for Netflix app itself. But I am able to get 4k for YouTube.

And for warranty, If you bought overseas, SG Sony don't cover or help repair the phone. You will need to send back to the country of origin.

There's a new firmware update 64.1A.0.929 for hk set.. Guess should be security patch ...
