I think the high global adoption rate of XZ is highly attributed to the fall of Note 7 and no other attractive phones (maybe pixel phones).
I still don't understand why sony disabled the fingerprint sensor for us models

Hi guys, another question: the NFC chip is on the top left, beside the front camera right? But I can't get my smartband to connect to it :( Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

hmm.. so only the patent owner can include fingerprint scanners into their phones? o.o

Some factors to take into consideration.

Phone makers to pay royalties to use the feature or functions stated in a patent.

Sony may expect the sales in US would not justify paying for the patent to use the fingerprint scanner.

I suspect it was due to Smartcleaner being too aggressive...currently trying without it...if it isn't then will have to wait for firmware updates...

Most of my previous Xperias also does the same thing, minor issue such as stuttering UI, non responsive touch are often solved within a few firmware updates after phone release...even my Z2 and Z3+ is running very smoothly now...

For me I find some occasional lag after charging. No idea why...

My Z3+ lags after charging I understand... but XZ? hmm

Do the pre-installed apps like Amazon, AVG, Xperia Lounge etc play a part? I get notifications every now and then, a little annoyed as previously in Z5 and Z5 Compact could easily uninstall these apps. Regret my itchy finger to tap and launch these apps in the first place, should have left them alone. But I could not feel that the xz has lagged. The only thing is hard to find glass protector. Sony shop bring in full screen but it doesn't contact the screen and tapping on screen is not so sensitive at times.

Can always clear cache/data on those apps to reset it or just disable them. I personally use Amazon so I am keeping it, same with Xperia Lounge as it sometimes give discount code/voucher only with notification off. AVG disabled however as it is causing longer time to install app and the annoying notification...

Currently only had some weird random stutter on UI especially swiping to Google Now when I suddenly wake it from long sleep. Currently turned off SmartCleaner and that stutter and app reloading seem to have gone...

Now I am just monitoring it and waiting for Singapore nougat firmware...:D
