hang on why are you unlocking your bootloader? you dont need to unlock I updated it without unlokcing the bootloader via flashtool

Glad you guys helped to clear up some confusion here. Being a Sony noob, googled flashtool and got led to Sony Mobile's official flash tool as the top hit. Naively followed the instructions until the unlock bootloader part that alarm bells started going off...

Anyway, found the real flashtool(2nd hit, duh!) and managed to flash to .69. Thanks all! Next up - rooting... soon.

hmm why the hurry to upgrade to .69? I upgraded and find that the only changes seems to be better double tap, and some layout changes in the Sony Apps. Other than that, can't see the major change.

Quite big change for me. Now file commander allows SD to internal file transfer, intermittent Haptic feedback issue solved. And sensitivity of double tap got better.

I thought File Commander already allows files to be copied to SD card in firmware .55 ? But better double-tap sensitivity is certainly welcomed

The main new addition is downloadable themes, where Sony is adding to the number of AR effects it provides via the Google Play Store. We counted six new AR effects including Butterfly, Celebration, Comic, Funky Disco, Horror and Spider-man.

Ohhh I didn't notice. I had trouble transferring file the other time when I had my previous z2=/. It was already at .69 when I got my replacement set

Does anyone know why my Z2 is unable to get mobile data connection?

I have turned off/on and phone multiple times, switched off/on mobile data/LTE but I am unable to get any connection. I have also moved place to place but to no avail.
My wifi is working fine still however.

You are probably referring to the NFC icon. It shows that your device has NFC activated.

Did you just get your Z2? Make sure your Access Point Name (APN) is configured.

Thanks alot man for the prompt response. For my Network Operators, I couldn't seem to get any network, it searches infinitely.

As for APN, what should I fill up for the APN field?

Notice that the album is as good as crippled!
now there is no option to view other folders. just the whole chunk photo dump in 1 album. let alone no cut & paste.

Yet to really get full use of the phone yet cos i just got mine ytd. The only thing i dun really like is the back edge. The edge is suppose to not to scratch the glass when u leave it flat on the table but i felt the edge rather sharp and not really comfortable to use. Dunno whther are there anyone of u feeling the same. It feel sharp to the finger.
